We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. Firstly, it is so important to remember that we are to come to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved, approach the throne of grace and receive help in our time of need. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us address the issues you mentioned and pray together.
In Psalm 6 WEB reads: "Yahweh, do not rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath. Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul is also sore troubled. But you, Yahweh—how long? Return, Yahweh, deliver my soul, and save me for your loving kindness’ sake. For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears. My eyes are wasted away with grief. They grow old because of all my adversaries."
The Psalmist was feeling the same way you feel. It is important to remember that regardless of what is going on around us, we cannot give up on ourselves and who God has made us to be. Remember who you are in Christ. As written in Philippians 1:6, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Regarding the fear you are experiencing at night, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. As 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB says: "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Furthermore, it is important to address the feelings of worthlessness. Remember, God created you in His image, and He loves you unconditionally. As written in Jeremiah 31:3 WEB: "Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness." Your worth is not determined by your circumstances or what others say about you, but by God's love for you.
Regarding financial issues, first pray and make your requests known to God. Also, be proactive and remember the wisdom of Proverbs 21:5 WEB: "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." Proverbs 6:6-8 WEB says: "Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise; which having no chief, overseer, or ruler, provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest."
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear friend who is going through a difficult time. Lord, You know the fears that grip their heart at night, and we ask that You comfort them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are always with them, and that they need not be afraid.
Lord, we also pray for their physical health, especially their vision. We claim Your promise that the work You have started in them will be completed. We rebuke any negative words spoken over them and ask that You heal their eyesight according to Your will.
Father, we also lift up their financial needs to You. We pray and seek your wisdom that you will show them the next steps. Please open doors for provision and guide them in their decisions.
Lord, we also pray against the feelings of worthlessness. Remind them of their true identity in Christ and how precious they are to You. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes, and to know that You have a purpose and a plan for their life.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their salvation. If they have not already done so, we pray that they would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that they would know the peace and hope that can only be found in Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and remember that God is always with you, even in the darkest of nights. Put your trust in Him, and He will see you through. Remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can have access to the throne of grace and we can be saved. If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, now is the time to do so!
