New Year's Prayer Health and Restoration

Lord I thank you for the healing you have already bestowed on me and pray that you continue to heal me and restore me to health. I thank you for seeing us through another year and pray that you help us to finish old projects, complete the Memoir I have been writing for years, and resolve finally the on-going family and financial and other battles that have been with us for so long. I ask that you guide my actions and those of everyone else involved and that you bring about restoration where it is needed and that you also cut out or insulate us from the unhealthy relationships and people in our lives. I lift up all the efforts I have made to you and ask that you bless and protect them. I ask that you provide for us in abundance and that you grant us full financial and other freedom.  I lift up the ongoing situations and people that have been persecuting us or upsetting our peace to you Lord and ask you to take the situations out of our hands and that they be swiftly and throughly resolved. Where there has been libel, slander, lies, theft or cruelty, impropriety or incorrect attitudes please expose these. Please fight my battles for me who am so tired of fighting battles and frustration. Please bring about peace, peace of mind, health and happiness, please bless those of our friends and family who have been good and loving this year and in the past. Please remove the roadblocks in our lives and help us soar and succeed where you have blessed us with the gifts to do so. Please surround us with people who are not only well intentioned by lacking in bias and who have the professional skills to achieve the objectives you want and prioritise over the objectives that they can fit into their own desires. Please bless those who have helped me when I have been sick and who have respected my dignity and discharged their duties professionally. Please remove or re-educate those who have not or who have been less than professional lest they hurt someone else. Please heal systems and bless the judgement of decision-makers.

Have you ever thought about the teaching of taking no thought for your life? It's amazing to take no thought for your life and wait on the Lord to put something on your heart to do. I have had physical and emotional pains vanish singing in myself humming take no thought for my life, I give it all to you Lord. Check out Isaiah 55:7, Mathew 6:25 and Proverbs 3:7 & 8 the verses will bless you

Thanks James, I will look it up. But I assure you the Lord has put no shortage of things on my heart to do over the 18 or so years I have walked closely with him (sometimes more closely than others).I am not lacking in things to do at all (rather the reverse).

Not to belittle what you are saying but what pains are you talking about? I have MS, an impinged shoulder, and a damaged joint in my spine which sometimes becomes inflamed. I have found that singing, praying, or positive thinking does not tend to help as much as anti-inflammatory injections in this situation. Admittedly I have not tried humming. But I believe God works through doctors as well as miracles.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
