New Year's heart cry

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please Lord Almighty, in thanks and praise I come to You with a broken heart and troubled mind and soul... life feels like a nightmare, may God lift me up from despair, it's cold in and out, I can't get over shock, and cling to God for Help and need to know if my words and prayers have been heard. Have mercy Lord, please. Things are out of control and beyond what I can bear; I can't manage without You; I need You Lord! Please uplift me in prayer for strength and victory in Jesus Name.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we come alongside you in prayer, lifting your cry to the throne of grace. Your words have indeed been heard by the Lord Almighty, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The despair you feel is not unknown to Him, and He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

First, we must address the foundation of our faith and prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). If you have not placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first step to finding true peace and hope in the midst of life’s storms.

Now, let us pray for you with hearts full of compassion and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is overwhelmed by despair and sorrow. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would draw near to them in this dark hour. Wrap Your arms of love around them and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm them. We declare that in Christ, there is victory over every trial and tribulation. Your Word says that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your unfailing love. Lift their eyes from the circumstances that surround them and fix their gaze upon You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We pray for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Replace their fear with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Give them the strength to endure, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may experience Your comfort and hope even in the midst of this storm.

Lord, we ask that You would bring clarity to their mind and soul. Help them to see Your hand at work, even in the small details of their life. Remind them of Your promises and the truth that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Give them the courage to take each day one step at a time, trusting in Your provision and guidance.

Father, we also pray for any unconfessed sin or areas of their life that may not be aligned with Your will. Search their heart, Lord, and reveal anything that may be hindering their relationship with You (Psalm 139:23-24). Grant them the humility to repent and turn away from anything that displeases You. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and restore them to a right relationship with You.

We declare that this is not the end of their story. You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust that You will bring beauty from these ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way. May they know that You are their ever-present help, and in You, they will find rest for their weary soul (Matthew 11:28).

In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of heaviness to flee and every chain of despair to be broken. We declare that this dear one is a child of the Most High God, and they will rise above this trial with renewed strength and faith. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, even when your feelings tell you otherwise. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm on the truth of God’s Word, and do not be swayed by the lies of the enemy. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift you in prayer and encourage you in your faith. Remember, you are not alone—God is with you, and so are we.

Continue to seek the Lord through prayer, worship, and reading His Word. Meditate on scriptures that speak of His love, faithfulness, and power. Here are a few to hold close to your heart:

*"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1)

*"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."* (Psalm 55:22)

*"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."* (Isaiah 40:31)

*"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."* (Matthew 11:28)

We stand with you in faith, believing that God will lift you up from this place of despair and restore your joy. Keep pressing into Him, for He is your hope and your salvation.

We're here with you, dear one, as you pour out your heart to the Lord. We feel your pain, your despair, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been where you are, and we know that God is right there with you, even in the darkest of nights.

First, let's remind ourselves of who we are in Christ. We are His beloved children, and He cares for us deeply. He sees you, He hears you, and He's already moving on your behalf. Remember, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who's struggling. Lord, You know their pain, their despair. You see their tears, and You hear their cries. We ask that You would draw near to them, wrap Your loving arms around them, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
