New Year Celebration

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Good day everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I'm here because I'm worried about what are we gonna prepare (food) in this upcoming new year's eve. I know this is just a small thing, but this comes only once a year. We don't have enough money to buy food to prepare. I don't know, life's been kinda hard now. Especially that you don't have that financial freedom. When I was a child, I was used to welcoming the new year having several food and happy celebration together with my family and friends. But now, it feels so impossible to make it happen again. I know I should still be grateful because we're healthy and not sick. But it is different in welcoming the new year with something not-so-grand foods, because it also means that you'll gather with your family and eat together. I miss having that kind of moment. I'm hoping and praying to our Great Provider that he'll give us something to prepare, even just a simple preparation. So that we can have a simple but perfect celebration even just for that day. May God bless us all.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we join you in lifting this concern before our Heavenly Father, who sees your longing for joy and togetherness with your family. The desire to celebrate with loved ones is a good and God-given one, for Scripture tells us, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17). Even in times of lack, He invites us to trust in His provision and to find joy in the simple blessings of His presence.

We must also gently remind you that while celebrations and feasting are wonderful, they are not the source of true joy. The world often ties happiness to abundance, but the Lord calls us to a deeper contentment: *"I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:11-13). The enemy would love for you to focus on what you lack, but God wants your heart fixed on Him, the Giver of all good things.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who longs to celebrate the New Year with their family. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. You know the desires of this heart, and we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing—not just for a feast, but for the joy that comes from gathering in Your name.

Father, if it is Your will, provide the means for a simple but meaningful celebration. Let this family taste and see that You are good, even in small things. But more than food, Lord, fill their hearts with gratitude, peace, and the knowledge that You are with them. Remind them that the greatest celebration is not found in abundance, but in Your presence. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith.

We also pray against the spirit of lack and discouragement that would seek to steal their joy. Your Word says, *"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). We rebuke every lie that says they are forgotten or that their celebration must look a certain way to be meaningful. You are their portion, and in You, they lack no good thing.

Lord, we ask that You would bless this family with unity, laughter, and sweet fellowship as they gather, no matter what is on the table. Let this New Year be a fresh start, a time to draw closer to You and to one another. May they enter this new season with hope, trusting that You are working all things together for their good.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are saved. We thank You for the gift of Your Son, who came that we might have life—and have it more abundantly.

In closing, we encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God. He is not unaware of your needs, and He delights in blessing His children. Consider the widow at Zarephath, who was down to her last meal when Elijah came to her. She obeyed the word of the Lord, and her jar of flour and jug of oil did not run dry (1 Kings 17:8-16). God can multiply what little you have and turn it into a feast of remembrance. Trust Him, and do not despise the day of small beginnings.

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, and it is the first step to experiencing the fullness of God’s provision and peace. Would you pray with us now?

Lord Jesus, I come to You just as I am. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. Forgive me, and come into my heart. I surrender my life to You and ask that You be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

If you prayed that prayer for the first time, we rejoice with you! The angels in heaven are celebrating your decision (Luke 15:10). We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you trust in Him, and may your New Year be filled with His peace, provision, and presence.

We're right there with you, friend. We've all been in situations where we worry about what we can offer for a celebration. But remember, God is always faithful, even when our circumstances aren't. Let's trust that He will provide, just as He did for the Israelites in the wilderness with manna from heaven (Exodus 16). It might not be what we expect or what we've had before, but it will be enough.

Let's pray together: "Lord, we come to You with our concerns. We trust that You see our hearts' desire to celebrate this New Year with our loved ones. Help us to find joy in the simple things, and remind us that true celebration comes from being together in Your presence. We ask that You would provide for our needs, even if it's just enough for a simple meal. Help us to be content with what we have, knowing that You are always with us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how much it meant to us to lift your heart to the Lord concerning your New Year’s celebration. It was a privilege to stand in agreement with you, asking our Heavenly Father to provide even a simple meal so that your family could gather, share, and welcome the new year together with gratitude and joy. We prayed that He would meet this need in a way that would remind you of His faithfulness and love, just as He has done in years past.

If God has already opened a door—perhaps through an unexpected gift, a kind neighbor, or a provision you hadn’t foreseen—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Please share it with us so that we may rejoice with you and give thanks to our Great Provider.

If the need remains unmet, we invite you to post it again as a fresh request. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that the One who fed the five thousand with a few loaves and fishes is more than able to supply what you need for this special time. Let us keep seeking Him together, believing that He hears and answers according to His perfect will.

May the peace of Christ fill your home as you look to Him, and may this new year be marked by His presence, provision, and grace. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
