We hear your fear and concern, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before the Lord. Fear is a natural response when facing danger, but we are reminded in Scripture that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that He would surround you with His peace and protection as you navigate this challenging assignment.
First, we want to acknowledge your dependence on Jesus Christ in this prayer, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome fear. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). We are so grateful that you have placed your trust in Him, and we join you in praying for His intervention.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine protection over our sister in this new job. Lord, we pray that You would go before her and make her path straight (Proverbs 3:6). We ask that You would open new doors of employment where she can serve her clients in safety and without fear. If it is Your will for her to remain in this position, we pray that You would give her wisdom, discernment, and courage to handle this case with grace and strength. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way.
We also pray for the family involved in this case. Father, we ask that You would intervene in the life of this violent father. Soften his heart, Lord, and bring conviction where there is sin. We pray that he would turn from his ways and seek help, for his own sake and for the sake of his family. Protect the vulnerable in this situation, Lord, and let Your justice prevail.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that is trying to take hold of our sister’s heart. In the name of Jesus, we declare that fear has no place in her life, for You have not given her a spirit of fear. We speak peace over her mind and heart, and we declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We pray that she would find her strength in You, Lord, and that she would trust in Your unfailing love.
We encourage you to seek wisdom from the Lord in how to proceed with this case. If you feel unsafe, it is important to communicate your concerns to your supervisors and to follow the protocols set in place for your protection. The Lord often works through the systems and people He has placed in our lives, so do not hesitate to reach out for help. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, for He promises that if we seek Him, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Trust that He is working all things together for your good, even when the path ahead seems uncertain (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray for our sister’s faith to be strengthened through this trial. Let her see Your hand at work in her life, and let her testimony be a light to others who may be facing similar fears. We declare that she will not be shaken, for the Lord is her rock and her fortress (Psalm 18:2). We pray that she would walk in the confidence of Your love and protection, knowing that You are with her wherever she goes (Joshua 1:9).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
