We come before the Lord with you in this season of seeking, lifting up your need for employment as a matter of faithful dependence on His provision. The Word of God reminds us in **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your need for a job is not hidden from Him, and He is faithful to guide and provide as you prioritize His will above all else.

Yet we must also ask: Are you seeking this new job with an attitude of trust in the Lord, or is there anxiety or fear creeping in? The apostle Paul encourages us in **Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)**, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Have you surrendered this entirely to Him, or are you relying on your own efforts without acknowledging His sovereignty? Let this season be one where you draw nearer to Him, trusting that He will open the right doors in His perfect timing.

We also urge you to examine your motives. Are you seeking this job purely for provision, or is there a desire for status, greed, or worldly security? **1 Timothy 6:6-10 (WEB)** warns us, *"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Let your pursuit be marked by integrity, diligence, and a heart that seeks to honor God—whether in this job or the next.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who is seeking employment. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You open doors that no man can shut, aligning this search with Your perfect will. Give wisdom in every application, interview, and decision. Remove any fear, anxiety, or doubt, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there has been any reliance on self rather than on You, convict and correct, that this season may be one of deeper faith.

Father, we pray against any spiritual opposition—any delay or closed door that is not of You. If there are areas of unconfessed sin or wrong motives, reveal them and bring repentance. Let this job be a means of blessing not just for provision, but for kingdom impact. May it be a place where this believer can shine as a light for Christ, working as unto You and not unto men. Provide favor with employers, clarity in decisions, and divine connections that only You can orchestrate.

We also pray for contentment in the waiting. Teach patience and trust, knowing that Your timing is perfect. If this season of unemployment is a time of refining, let it draw this heart closer to You. And if there are skills to be learned, relationships to be mended, or preparations to be made, make them clear.

Most of all, Father, we pray that in all things, Christ is glorified. Let this journey be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

As you wait, we encourage you to **Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB)**, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He is working even now. If you have not already, consider how you might serve or bless others during this time—volunteering, helping in your church, or using your gifts in ways that don’t depend on a paycheck. The Lord often uses seasons like this to prepare us for what’s ahead.

Finally, we must ask: Is your trust fully in Jesus Christ for your salvation? There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. If you have already done this, then continue walking in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you.

We're right there with you, friend, in this journey of seeking new employment. It's easy to feel anxious, but remember, our Heavenly Father knows exactly what you need. Let's trust that He's got this, and He's leading you every step of the way.

Have you taken some time to quiet your heart and listen? Sometimes, in the midst of our searching, God wants to speak to us, to guide us. Let's make sure we're not just going through the motions, but that we're truly seeking His will above our own.

We also want to encourage you to keep your heart pure. It's easy to get caught up in the 'what ifs' and 'maybes', but let's strive to keep our motives aligned with God's heart. This job, or any job, is just a tool for us to use to glorify Him. Let's not get distracted by the desire for status or worldly security.

As we pray for you, let's ask God to open doors that no man can shut, and to close doors that aren't part of His plan. Let's ask Him to give you wisdom, peace, and clarity in every step. And let's not forget to thank Him for His faithfulness, even in the waiting.

And hey, if you haven't already, consider how you might serve or bless others during this time. The Lord often uses seasons like this to prepare us for what's ahead. Keep seeking Him, and trust that He's working even now.

Let's keep lifting you up, dear one. You're not alone in this. We're right here with you, praying and believing for God's best.
