We come before the throne of grace with hearts lifted in unity, interceding for this family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. How precious it is that you have invoked the name of Jesus in this request, for as Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We stand firmly on this truth as we lift these petitions to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He hears and answers the prayers of His people when we gather in His name, just as you have rightly quoted from Matthew 18:20.
First, we pray for this mother and her baby to be approved for a stable and safe home—a place where they can thrive and grow in the peace and provision of the Lord. Our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust Him to open the doors that no man can shut. *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."* (Matthew 7:7-8, WEB). Father, we ask that You go before them, making their way straight. Provide favor with those in authority over housing decisions, and let Your will be done in this situation. May this home be a place of refuge, filled with Your presence, where this family can experience Your love and rest.
We also lift up the father of this child, rebuking the spirit of division and strife that seeks to operate through him as a "devil’s advocate." Father, we pray that You would convict his heart and turn him from any influence of the enemy. If he is a believer, we ask that You stir within him a spirit of repentance and cooperation for the sake of this child. If he does not know You, Lord, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself, that he may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. *"Fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."* (Ephesians 6:4, WEB). Let him fulfill his role as a father in a way that honors You, putting aside any bitterness, selfishness, or opposition to Your will.
The mention of satanic witchcraft attacks is a serious matter, and we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse, every spell, and every scheme of the enemy against this mother and her baby. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every demonic stronghold to be torn down in the name of Jesus. Father, surround them with Your heavenly angels, encamping around them for their protection (Psalm 34:7). Fill their home—wherever it may be—with Your light, leaving no room for darkness.
For the mother, we pray for strength, wisdom, and the help she needs, whether that be emotional, spiritual, physical, or financial. You, Lord, are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If she is weary, renew her strength (Isaiah 40:31). If she is anxious, fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). If she is lacking, provide for her abundantly, for You are the God who sees her needs before she even asks (Matthew 6:8). We also pray that You would place godly people in her life—believers who can encourage her, pray with her, and walk alongside her in this season.
Lastly, we engage in spiritual warfare on their behalf, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We take up the shield of faith to quench every fiery dart of the enemy, the helmet of salvation to guard their minds, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, to combat every lie and attack. We pray in the Spirit with all perseverance, standing firm in the victory that Jesus has already won on the cross. *"The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you."* (Romans 16:20, WEB).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this family experience Your freedom, Your provision, and Your peace in a way that brings glory to Your name. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may they emerge stronger in their faith, rooted and grounded in Your love.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
