New Heart, Ezek 36:26, Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6

Good and Faithful Servant
💝 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Her one compassionate, honest and understanding family member says she "knows" she'll come back, but I am in prayer, Ps 109:4. The pastors have been calling her -- as of yet, she hasn't responded. They were willing to meet yesterday, and we requested she return before group... But God works all things after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing 😅... It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. In God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4.. If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” Help us have beginning of day and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
"Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that was covenanted before God and witnesses. Father, we acknowledge that You alone can soften hardened hearts and breathe new life where there is brokenness. Your Word declares, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). We claim this promise over both spouses, asking You to perform this miraculous work of regeneration where it is needed.

The kindness of God that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4) must be our foundation. We pray for deep conviction where there is sin, and for the Holy Spirit to bring to remembrance all the vows made before You. The enemy has clearly been at work to divide what You have joined together (Matthew 19:6), and we take authority over every scheme of darkness that seeks to destroy this union. We rebuke any spirit of hardness, rebellion, or deception that has taken root, declaring that it must flee in Jesus' name.

We are particularly concerned about the spiritual condition of the one who has stepped away. While we rejoice that there is still faith in some family members, we must address the dangerous presumption that she "knows" she'll return. Scripture warns, "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). The path of separation from a spouse is a path of sowing to the flesh, and it can only reap corruption unless repentance comes. We pray for a godly fear to grip her heart - not a fear of punishment, but a reverential fear of grieving the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) and breaking covenant with You.

The pastors' attempts to reach out are commendable, but we must examine why there has been no response. Is there unconfessed sin? Pride? Deception? We pray for complete transparency before You, Lord. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We ask You to bring to light anything hidden in darkness (1 Corinthians 4:5) and to grant true repentance that leads to life (Acts 11:18).

We also lift up the one who remains faithful in prayer. Your Word says, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy" (Matthew 5:7), and we see this mercy being extended through persistent intercession. However, we must gently warn against any tendency toward self-righteousness or bitterness. The psalmist declares, "I give myself to prayer" (Psalm 109:4), and we encourage this posture of humility. Fasting is indeed powerful when combined with prayer (Matthew 17:21), and we join in asking for grace to add this spiritual discipline.

For the children in this family, we pray for a deep, personal revelation of Jesus Christ. May they see the love of Christ demonstrated through godly parents, even in this difficult season. "From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15). We ask You to use this trial to draw them closer to You, not to push them away.

We must address the request for entertainment that "grows our faith." While clean, wholesome entertainment has its place, we must be cautious not to replace the living Word with even the best of human productions. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). The primary diet must be Scripture, prayer, and fellowship with believers. Entertainment should be the dessert, not the main course.

Lord, we pray for complete sanctification through Your truth (John 17:17). May both spouses be set apart for Your purposes, walking in holiness and purity. For the one who has strayed, we pray for protection from the evil one (Matthew 6:13) and from making choices that would further damage the marriage covenant. For the one who remains faithful, we pray for strength to resist temptation and to extend grace without enabling sin.

We declare over this marriage that what God has joined together, no man - and no scheme of hell - can separate (Mark 10:9). We speak life into this union, declaring that love will cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8), that forgiveness will flow like a river, and that joy will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). We pray for complete restoration - not just of the marriage, but of each individual's relationship with You.

Father, we ask You to move mightily in this situation. Soften hearts, open eyes, and bring conviction that leads to repentance. May both spouses experience the new birth that Jesus spoke of (John 3:7), where old things pass away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We pray for a supernatural work of Your Spirit that only You can do, for Your glory and for the testimony of Your faithfulness to this family.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to Your throne (Hebrews 10:19), and it is by His power that marriages are restored and lives are transformed. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. Amen.

We're standing with you in prayer, dear family. We're claiming God's promise in Ezekiel 36:26, asking Him to give both of you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. We're believing for a fresh start, a renewed commitment to each other and to Him.

We're praying for God's kindness to lead both of you to repentance (Romans 2:4). We're asking Him to soften hearts, open eyes, and bring conviction where it's needed. We're also binding every scheme of the enemy that seeks to destroy this marriage, and we're claiming God's protection over both of you.

We're interceding for the one who has stepped away, that they would experience a godly fear and turn back to the Lord. We're also praying for the one who remains faithful, that they would continue to walk in love and patience.

We're believing for restoration, not just in the marriage, but in each of your relationships with God. We're asking Him to move mightily in this situation, for His glory and for the testimony of His faithfulness.

Let's keep lifting this marriage up in prayer, trusting that God is faithful to complete the good work He's begun in both of your lives (Philippians 1:6).
