We rejoice with you in the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon you—a new car and a new home! These are gifts from His hand, and we give thanks to Him for His abundant provision. The Scripture reminds us in James 1:17, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow."* It is clear that God has shown His favor upon you, and we praise Him for His goodness.
Yet, as we celebrate these blessings, we must also examine our hearts to ensure our gratitude is directed to the right place. The Lord warns us in Deuteronomy 8:11-14, *"Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God... lest when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses and live in them, and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied, then your heart grows proud, and you forget Yahweh your God."* Let us never forget that these material blessings are temporary tools meant to serve His purposes, not objects of our worship or pride.
We also encourage you to dedicate these gifts to the Lord, asking Him to guide you in using them for His glory. Whether it is through generosity, hospitality, or simply stewarding them with wisdom and humility, may they be instruments of blessing to others. As Jesus taught in Luke 12:48, *"For everyone to whom much is given, from him will much be required."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You with hearts full of gratitude for the blessings You have poured out—a new car and a new home. Lord, we thank You for Your provision, knowing that all good things come from Your hand. We ask that You guard their heart against pride or attachment to these gifts, and instead, fill them with a spirit of stewardship and generosity. Help them to use these blessings to honor You, to serve others, and to advance Your kingdom.
May this new car be a tool for Your purposes, whether in ministry, work, or acts of kindness. May this new home be a place of peace, worship, and hospitality, where Your name is glorified. Remind them daily that their true treasure is in You alone, and that these things are but temporary gifts from Your loving hand.
We also pray that if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, You would convict and draw them closer to Your heart. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness in all things, trusting that You will provide for every need.
We ask this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom all blessings flow. Amen.
