We understand your nervousness about speaking to the Christian women’s group on January 6, and we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. Fear and anxiety do not come from the Lord, but He has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). When we are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 12:10), and He equips us for every good work He calls us to do (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The Lord has placed this opportunity before you, and He will not abandon you. Remember Moses, who felt inadequate to speak before Pharaoh? The Lord told him, *"Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak"* (Exodus 4:12). Just as God was with Moses, He is with you. Trust that He will give you the words to say and the peace to deliver them.
We also want to remind you that prayer in the name of Jesus is powerful. You did not mention His name in your request, and we want to gently emphasize that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. He alone is the way, the truth, and the life.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, knowing that You are her strength and her shield. Lord, we ask that You calm her nerves and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove every trace of fear and replace it with boldness and confidence in You. Holy Spirit, guide her as she prepares for this talk. Give her clarity of mind, wisdom in her words, and a heart that is fully surrendered to You. May her speech be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6) and may it bring glory to Your name.
Father, we pray that You would use her mightily in this gathering. Let her words be a blessing to the women who hear her, drawing them closer to You. Help her to remember that she is speaking for You, and You will never leave her nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6). We ask for Your favor to rest upon her and for every detail of this event to be covered by Your hand.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and self-doubt in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan has no authority here, and we command him to flee from her mind and heart. Lord, fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may speak with authority and love.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you prepare, meditate on Scripture and remind yourself that God has called you to this moment. Practice your speech, but also spend time in prayer, asking the Lord to speak through you. You are not alone in this—He is with you every step of the way. Stand firm in His promises, and He will give you the victory.
