We hear the burden in your request and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that every dark power must flee.

You are right to claim Psalm 4:8 which says, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. We cling to that promise with you, that sleep is a gift from God and that He alone is your keeper and your refuge. We also hear your cry about a surrounding environment that feels like a nightmare, with hospitalization, emergencies, bad intentions, sorcery and witchcraft, gossiping, meddling, nosy and imprudent behavior, bullying and sabotage in the road, and a demonic atmosphere that gathers to disturb peace, invade privacy, and steal sleep.

We affirm what Scripture teaches, that sorcery and witchcraft are detestable to the Lord and have no place among His people, as it is written in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. We do not fear these works of darkness, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17.

We rebuke together with you in the name of Jesus Christ every demonic atmosphere, every spirit of witchcraft and sorcery, every assignment to transfer ruin, misery, tragedy, death and sickness, and every attempt to steal your sleep and to create a nightmare and madhouse environment of disorder and discord around your life and the lives of others. We rebuke voyeurism and every sexual spiritual attack, every fake encounter and perverse spirit that would perturb your peace and violate what God has made holy. Such voyeurism and sexual immorality outside of God's design for marriage between a man and a woman is sin and we bring it into the light and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We declare that you have no obligation to bear the burdens of demonic people or to be as God for them, for the Lord Himself is your defender and protector, and He will keep you from evil, 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says, But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We also take to heart Romans 16:17 which urges us to mark those who are causing divisions and occasions of stumbling contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and to turn away from them. We agree with you to avoid those who cause divisions and obstacles to the faith, who meddle and gossip and sow discord, and we ask the Lord to give you wisdom to set godly boundaries and to walk in peace even while living among difficult neighbors. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but as Ephesians 6:10-12 reminds us, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore we put on that armor with you, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who shed His blood to redeem us and who has given us authority over all the power of the enemy. We thank You that You are in control even over this disaster environment that has felt spiritually heavy and oppressive. We ask You to rebuke and cancel every work of sorcery, witchcraft, and demonic meddling around this life and this neighborhood. We command every unclean spirit, every spirit of nightmare, harassment, bullying, voyeurism and confusion to go from this dwelling and this sleep in Jesus' name, and to have no more influence or invasion. We ask You to cleanse the atmosphere and to let Your peace rule. We pray that You alone will make Your child to dwell in safety and to lie down and sleep in peace, that You would grant deep, uninterrupted rest and restore what has been stolen. We pray Psalm 91:1-2 over this life, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Guard this home, guard this bed, guard this mind from tormenting thoughts and dreams, and let Your holy angels encamp around it. Teach us to submit ourselves to You and to resist the devil so that he will flee from us, James 4:7, and fill this place with Your Holy Spirit. We also pray for those neighbors who are lost in darkness, that You would bring conviction and salvation if it be Your will, but we ask for separation from their destructive ways and for protection from their bad intentions. Let Your will be done and let Your kingdom come in this situation. We trust You to handle what we cannot. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily, to pray aloud the Scriptures over your home before you sleep, to keep your heart and mind fixed on Him, for Philippians 4:7 says, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Keep putting on the armor, keep avoiding those who persist in causing division, and keep resting in the truth that the Lord watches over you and will not slumber. We are standing with you for peaceful rest and for complete deliverance in Jesus' name.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what has been weighing on you, especially at night. Losing sleep and feeling watched or harassed in your own home is exhausting, and we hear how much you long for quiet and safety again.

We want you to know we are standing with you in prayer. God sees the strain this environment has put on you and on others nearby, and He is not distant from your need for rest. Sleep matters deeply to our whole lives, body and soul, and God cares about giving His people peace as they lie down.

It can help not to carry this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, consider inviting them to pray with you regularly and to walk with you in wisdom about the neighborhood tensions. If the trouble sleeping continues or leaves you feeling unwell in the day, it is also wise to let your doctor know, so you have support for your health as we keep praying.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your guarding presence over their home and night. Quiet what is restless, calm what is anxious, and grant deep, peaceful rest. Your cry for peace in the night has been heard, and it is right that you have turned to the Word of God for refuge. That verse you have laid hold upon is a precious pillow for the weary head, "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8

Know this, that sleep is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and compose our bodies and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so. The Lord must give it. So He giveth His beloved sleep. It is a sleep of contentment, for the Christian learns to be satisfied with Christ Himself, and it is a sleep of security, for the believer rests not because the street is quiet or the neighbor is kind, but because the Lord watches over His own. When the heart is stayed upon Him, you may lie down in peace though the world around you be in discord and disorder.

You have spoken truly from Ephesians 6 that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore we do not wrestle with men only, but we put on the full armor of God that we may take our stand against the devil's schemes. Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Let the girdle of truth and the breastplate of righteousness and the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, be your daily dress.

You are right also to mark those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching of the faith, and to avoid them as Romans 16:17 urges. Where there is meddling, gossiping, nosy and imprudent behavior, bullying and disturbing of peace, where there is voyeurism and witchcraft and sorcery and every work of darkness, the child of God is to have no fellowship with it and no obligation to it. We are not called to defend or to carry the ruin of others, but to walk in holiness and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. We rebuke that evil atmosphere and those gatherings for sabotage, and every attempt to steal sleep or to transfer sickness, misery and fear upon your dwelling.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, You alone make us to dwell in safety. We come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone is salvation. We ask that You would rebuke every demonic influence, every spirit of witchcraft and sorcery, every voyeurism and harassment and nightmare that would perturb the peace of this life. Cancel, O Lord, the discord and the madhouse confusion that surrounds this home and neighborhood. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard heart and mind and dwelling.

Grant, we pray, the gift of sleep to Your beloved. Give quietness in the night, rest without fear, and waking without oppression. Let Your holy angels encamp about those who fear You. Clothe Your servant with the full armor of God, with faith and righteousness and truth, that standing firm in Christ, all the schemes of the evil one may be quenched.

Teach us to watch and to be sober, not to sleep as do others in spiritual sloth, but to be awake unto prayer and the Word, and then to sleep in sweet natural rest as those whom You keep. We ask for a house and a street made peaceful by Your presence, for neighbors turned from meddling to quietness, or kept at a distance from harming Your people. Do this for Your glory, that it may be seen that God is in control and that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper.

We ask all this in the power of the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Keeper, Amen.
