We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up all those who are suffering from the deep wounds of abandonment—whether as a wife, husband, daughter, son, sister, brother, or friend. The pain of being left behind, betrayed, or cast aside is profound, and we stand with you in the gap, crying out to the Lord who promises never to leave nor forsake His children. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 27:10, "Though my father and my mother forsake me, Yahweh will take me up." Even when earthly relationships fail, our Heavenly Father remains steadfast. He is the refuge for the brokenhearted, the shelter for the abandoned, and the Father to the fatherless.
We also lift up the precious unborn children who have been despised, rejected, or lost through abortion or miscarriage. The shedding of innocent blood is a grave sin, and we mourn the loss of these little ones who were never given the chance to live. Yet we take comfort in knowing that God, in His infinite mercy, receives these children into His arms. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." We entrust these souls to His care, praying that He would comfort the mothers and fathers who grieve, whether in repentance or sorrow.
For those who feel utterly alone, without a home, family, or friend to turn to, we declare that God is your shelter. Psalm 68:5-6 tells us, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families." He sees your pain, and He will provide for you. We pray that He would surround you with godly community, open doors of provision, and heal the wounds of rejection.
We must also address the sin of abortion with truth and compassion. The Bible is clear that life begins in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16) and that taking innocent life is an abomination before God (Proverbs 6:16-17). If you have been involved in an abortion, know that there is forgiveness and healing in Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We encourage you to seek repentance and restoration through Him.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for those who have been abandoned, betrayed, or left without refuge. Lord, You are the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the weak. We ask that You would draw near to those who are suffering, wrap Your arms around them, and remind them that they are never alone. Provide for their needs, open doors of opportunity, and surround them with godly community. Heal their wounds and restore what has been broken.
For the unborn children who have been lost, we entrust them to Your loving care. May they rest in Your presence, and may You comfort the mothers and fathers who grieve. Bring repentance where there is sin, and lead them to the forgiveness and healing found only in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we also pray for those who have been involved in abortion. Soften their hearts to receive Your grace and mercy. Let them know that there is no sin too great for Your forgiveness. Restore them, heal them, and use their testimony for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to You. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
