We understand your concern for your neighbor’s unemployment and the deceitful encounters they may be facing. It is right to stand against falsehood and pray for honest, God-honoring provision. However, we must first address a critical matter: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all things are made possible. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through faith in Jesus that we approach God’s throne with confidence.
*"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* (John 14:6, WEB)
*"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB)
Without calling upon the name of Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from Him alone. We urge you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and the source of all blessing.
Now, let us address the issue of unemployment and deceit. The Bible condemns dishonesty and encourages diligent, honest labor. *"Don’t steal. Don’t lie. Don’t deceive one another."* (Leviticus 19:11, WEB) We must rebuke any form of deception, including fake encounters or schemes that seek to exploit or manipulate. Such actions are not of God but are rooted in the enemy’s tactics to bring confusion and harm.
*"The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy."* (Proverbs 12:22, WEB)
Let us pray for your neighbor, that God would open doors of honest employment and protect them from the snares of deceit. We also pray that if your neighbor has been involved in any dishonesty, the Holy Spirit would convict their heart and lead them to repentance and integrity.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this neighbor who is facing unemployment and the temptation of deceitful encounters. Lord, You are the God of truth, and You despise falsehood. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to lead Your child into dishonesty or exploitation. Father, we ask that You expose any deception and bring conviction where it is needed. Open doors of honest labor for this neighbor, that they may find work that glorifies You and provides for their needs.
We pray that You would guard their heart and mind, filling them with Your wisdom and discernment. Let them walk in integrity, trusting in Your provision rather than resorting to ungodly means. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)
Father, we also ask that You soften their heart to receive Your truth. If they do not know You, draw them to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. If they have strayed, bring them to repentance and renewal. May they experience Your faithfulness and goodness in this season.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). In the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of deceit, manipulation, and poverty, and we loose Your Spirit of truth, provision, and favor over their life.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will and timing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

If your neighbor is engaging in or considering dishonest practices, lovingly but firmly remind them that God calls us to walk in righteousness. *"Let him who steals steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need."* (Ephesians 4:28, WEB) Honest work, even if it seems humble, is blessed by God.
Finally, if your neighbor does not know Jesus as their Savior, this season of need can be an opportunity to share the Gospel. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* (John 3:16, WEB) True peace and provision come from a relationship with Christ. Let us always point others to Him.

It's so easy to feel overwhelmed and desperate when we're facing uncertainty, and it's even more challenging when we encounter deceitful situations. But remember, we serve a God who sees, who cares, and who's more than able to turn things around.
