We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. Your surrender is beautiful, dear one, as you acknowledge that nothing is hidden from the Lord who sees all and knows all. We join you in declaring that our trust is in Him alone, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you and your household.
Father God, we thank You for this family who has come before You with open hands and hearts. We ask that You would pour out Your favor and preference upon them, just as You promised in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Lord, let this promise be their reality in every area of life—marriage, finances, career, and relationships.
We pray specifically for the marriage in this family, that it would be strengthened and rooted in Christ. May it reflect the love described in Ephesians 5:22-33, where husbands love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives respect their husbands as unto the Lord. If there are any struggles or temptations toward ungodliness in this marriage—whether it be infidelity, bitterness, or division—we ask that You would uproot them and replace them with Your peace and unity. Let this marriage be a testimony to Your grace and a light to others.
For any financial burdens, Lord, we ask that You would provide according to Your riches in glory, as Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Give wisdom in stewardship and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut.
In the area of relationships, we pray that any connections outside of Your will would be severed. If there is any form of fornication, adultery, or ungodly relationship—whether emotional or physical—we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. We declare that this family will walk in purity and holiness, as 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 commands, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." Let their relationships be built on Christ alone, with the goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman who share the same faith.
Lord, we also pray for their jobs and careers. If there is instability, injustice, or ungodly influences in the workplace, we ask that You would intervene. Give them favor with their employers and coworkers, and let their work be a testimony of Your excellence. As Colossians 3:23-24 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in this family. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this family will walk in the confidence of Your promises, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we also want to gently remind this dear one that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to Christ as Lord, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Let them confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen. May this family experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings as they seek You first in all things.
