We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up S. and her loved ones in this time of need. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears our cries and is mighty to save.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon S. We pray for complete restoration, body, mind, and spirit. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and we trust in Your perfect will for her life. If it be Your will, Lord, bring wholeness where there is brokenness, strength where there is weakness, and peace where there is fear. We ask for Your mercy to surround her and her family, comforting them in this trial.
Father, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers attending to S. Give them discernment and skill as they seek to bring healing. May Your presence be tangible in the midst of this storm, reminding S. and her loved ones that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
We must also address the spiritual condition of the heart, for true healing begins with a right relationship with You. If S. or her loved ones do not know You as Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw them to the foot of the cross. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no healing, eternal or temporal, apart from Him. We pray that S. would come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Him, we ask that You would soften her heart and reveal Your love to her in a powerful way.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand against the enemy’s lies and claim the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for the loved ones surrounding S. May they be strengthened in their faith and united in prayer. Help them to encourage one another and to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the path ahead is unclear. Remind them that "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is through His name alone that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). May Your will be done in S.’s life, and may Your name be glorified through this trial.
We continue to lift S. up in prayer, believing that You are at work even now. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and fill us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
