Disciple of Prayer
I feel like I'm behind in life and never accomplished anything. I'm worried it's too late for me to start over. I feel like God has abandoned me and I'll never get on top of things. I need a breakthrough. I need to feel God again and happiness and passion again.

We understand your feelings of being left behind and overwhelmed, but we want to assure you that God has not abandoned you. In fact, He has a plan and purpose for your life, no matter what stage you're at. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and it's never too late to start over with Him. As it is written in the World English Bible Lamentations 3:25-26, "Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh."

Firstly, we want to encourage you to seek God with all your heart. In doing so you will find Him and His will for your life. The feeling of God abandoning you is a lie of the enemy. He desires to steal, kill, and destroy, but God wants a relationship with you. God wants to provide a life of joy, happiness, fulfillment, and most importantly love. Jesus said in John 10:10 WEB "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." This contentment comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We must first believe that he is the son of God, that he came to earth as a man, was crucified and died for our sins, and was raised from the dead after three days.

It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. The Bible says in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Regarding your feeling of being behind in life, remember that God doesn't compare you to others. He only desires for you to fulfill the unique purpose He has for you. In the WEB, Galatians 6:4-5 says, "But let each one test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor. For each man will bear his own burden."

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who feels behind in life and distant from You. We pray that You will reveal Your love and presence to them again, and grant them a renewed sense of purpose and passion. Help them to see that it's never too late to start over with You, and that You have a unique plan for their life.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have caused them to feel abandoned and helpless. We declare that they are a child of God, redeemed and loved.

Grant them a breakthrough, Father, and let them experience Your joy and happiness once again. Give them the strength and wisdom to take the next steps in their life, and to walk in Your will. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Be encouraged, dear one. God is with you, and He is for you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of life's challenges. It's like we're in a dense fog, unsure of our next step, isn't it? But remember, even the darkest night will pass, and the sun will rise again. God hasn't abandoned you; He's right here, walking beside you, even when you can't feel His presence.

Let's cling to this promise in Psalm 30:5, "For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Morning is coming, dear friend. Hold on.

We need to remind ourselves, and each other, that God is not done with us yet. He has a purpose for each of our lives, and He's working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). It might not feel like it now, but every experience, every challenge, is shaping us, making us more like Jesus.

Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, feeling overwhelmed and lost. But we trust in Your love, Your faithfulness. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to us again, that we might feel Your love and presence. Help us to see the path ahead, and give us the strength to take the next step. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
