Need Prayer For A Job Background Check To Clear

Recently, I was given a verbal job offer, pending my background check.  My credit is bad and I have a dwi related offense from 6 years ago on my background (not a felony).  I was told that wouldn't be a problem, but it's been two weeks since I've heard from them, and when I called they seemed to not be too excited about hiring us anymore.

It's so frustrating because I have worked so hard since my dwi and loss of my previous job to better myself. I haven't touched any alcohol, and the LORD has blessed me with a wonderful wife of almost 10 years.  We are trying to be the caretakers of a multihousing complex.  So she is also being checked into, but she has nothing on her record.  I've been going to school while working full time for the past three years.  I am perfectly qualified for this job.  I guess what worries me is if i can't hired with my background, then what's the point?  Mainly, I'm asking for those of you to pray for me to be at peace no matter the outcome. This maybe sounds like a trite situation compared to most prayer requests, but this job means everything to us, including having a place to live.
