We understand that you're facing an urgent financial need, but we want to remind you that our trust and dependence should be on God alone, and not in money or possessions. As it says in 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. and in Hebrews 13:5 WEB ...be content with what you have, for He has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."
It's important to remember that God knows our needs before we even ask Him. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus says, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink? or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Instead of focusing on the amount of money you need, let's focus on seeking God's will. He may provide the money you need, or He may provide another solution you hadn't considered. Our prayer for you is that God's will be done in your life, and that you will trust in Him regardless of the outcome.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, You know the situation they're facing, and You know the solution they need. We ask that Your will be done in their life, and that You provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You, and to seek Your kingdom first. Give them peace and contentment, and help them to remember that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Help them to also see any wrongful things they do that have led them to this point, and what they need to do in the future to better their situation. Help them to not repeat past mistakes and to trust in You for better future decisions. We also pray for a godly spouse for them if not already married, or a godly marriage if they are married. Help them to know they are not alone. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to examine your finances and consider whether there are any changes you can make to better steward the resources God has given you. Also, consider if there is anything you have done wrongfully. It is important to not put oneself into debt. Proverbs 22:7 WEB The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Consider all of these things in your situation and in the future. And remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is salvation in no other name.
