We hear your cry for protection and deliverance, and we stand with you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Your request reveals a deep struggle against spiritual forces that seek to harm and influence, and we take this battle seriously, for the Word of God tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
First, we must address the truth that no demon or devil can operate outside the permissive will of God. While Satan and his forces are real and actively seek to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), they are already defeated foes through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Colossians 2:15 declares, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." You are not left defenseless—you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).
However, we must also recognize that spiritual warfare requires active participation on our part. We cannot merely command protection without also submitting to God’s authority and resisting the devil, as James 4:7 instructs: "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." This means walking in obedience to God’s Word, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and standing firm in faith. The shield of faith extinguishes all the fiery darts of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16), and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is our offensive weapon (Ephesians 6:17).
We also want to gently but firmly address a potential misunderstanding in your request. While you ask that the devil "can’t see me, find me, feel me, and can’t know any of my thoughts," we must remember that God alone is omniscient—He knows all things. The enemy is not all-knowing, but he is a deceiver who observes and tempts based on our actions and weaknesses. Rather than seeking invisibility to the enemy, we are called to walk in the light, confessing our sins and resisting temptation (1 John 1:7). The enemy flees when we resist him in the name of Jesus, not because he cannot see us, but because greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is crying out for protection from the schemes of the enemy. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every assignment of the enemy is bound and rendered powerless in the name of Jesus.
We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their body, and their spirit. We break every chain of fear, oppression, and influence from the enemy, and we command every demonic spirit to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that they are hidden in Christ, covered by His righteousness, and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). No harm shall come near them, for You, Lord, will give Your angels charge over them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
We pray for a hedge of protection around them, Lord, as You did for Job (Job 1:10), but we also pray for a heart that seeks You above all else. Guard their mind from anxious thoughts and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that they may stand firm against the wiles of the devil. Help them to put on the full armor of God daily, to wield the sword of Your Word, and to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and deception, and we command them to leave now in the name of Jesus. We declare that our brother/sister is a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We speak life, joy, and victory over their life, and we thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness to protect and deliver.
Lord, we also ask that You reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Show them any doors they may have unknowingly opened through sin, unforgiveness, or disobedience, and give them the strength to close those doors through repentance and surrender to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your ways and live a life that glorifies You.
We thank You, Father, for Your promise that "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We trust in Your protection, Your power, and Your love. May our brother/sister walk in the confidence of Your victory, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, beloved. The enemy is already defeated, and you have the authority in Christ to resist him. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with and for you, and immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Memorize scriptures that speak of God’s protection and declare them over your life daily. Remember, "The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10 WEB).
If you have not already, we also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any areas that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Unconfessed sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices can open doors to spiritual attack. Confess these things to God, repent, and turn away from them. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Lastly, we want to remind you that your ultimate victory is found in Jesus Christ alone. He is your deliverer, your protector, and your strong tower. Cling to Him, seek His face, and trust in His promises. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts stands with you. "Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB). Walk in the confidence of His love and protection, for He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
