We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting your concerns to the Father who provides for His children. The loss of a job and financial uncertainty can bring great anxiety, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are not alone in this struggle—God sees your need and hears your cry.
We also recall the promise in Matthew 6:31-33, where Jesus teaches, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus on passing the civil service exam and building your small business is commendable, but we encourage you to first seek the Lord’s will in all things. Trust that He will provide as you align your steps with His purpose.
Regarding your small business, we are reminded of Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* Success comes not by our strength alone but by surrendering our efforts to God’s wisdom and timing. We pray that He grants you favor, creativity, and perseverance as you work, knowing that *"unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1).
Your desire to resist the devil’s temptations is vital. James 4:7-8 declares, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* Stay rooted in Scripture, prayer, and fellowship with believers to stand firm against spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Christ has already overcome him. Cling to the truth that *"no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We do notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. John 14:6 reminds us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and Acts 4:12 states, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. There is no greater security than being in Christ.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your provision and mercy in this season of uncertainty. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust You to open doors for stable and fulfilling employment. Grant wisdom and favor as they prepare for the civil service exam and seek to grow their small business. May every effort be blessed and aligned with Your will, bringing glory to Your name.
Lord, we ask for protection over their mind and heart. Shield them from the enemy’s schemes and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen their faith to resist temptation and walk in obedience to Your Word. Remind them daily that their worth is found in You, not in their circumstances.
Father, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray for a revelation of Your love and salvation. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the joy of knowing You as their Savior.
We declare Your promises over their life—provision, protection, and purpose. May they walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
