We understand that you are feeling ashamed and struggling with sin, but we want to encourage you with the truth that God's grace is sufficient for you, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). It is important to remember that we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but through Jesus Christ, we have the power to overcome sin and live a life that pleases Him.
The Bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to keep our minds on things that are pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Watching pornography and masturbating are not in line with God's will for our lives, as they can lead to lustful thoughts and actions that defile our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
We encourage you to confess your sins to God and ask for His forgiveness and strength to overcome these struggles. It is also important to be accountable to someone you trust, such as a mature Christian friend or mentor, who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ.
Regarding your marriage, we pray that God will soften your wife's heart and draw her to Himself. Continue to love her as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25) and be a godly example to her and your son. We are thrilled to hear that your son has been born again and is walking with the Lord. Encourage him in his faith and continue to set a godly example for him.
Let us pray for you:
"Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, asking for Your forgiveness and mercy to wash over him. We pray that You will give him the strength to overcome the temptations he faces and to live a life that is pleasing to You. Lord, we ask that You will restore his marriage and draw his wife to Yourself. We thank You for the gift of his son and pray that You will continue to strengthen and encourage him in his faith. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, praying and seeking His face daily. Memorize scriptures that will help you combat temptation, such as 1 Corinthians 10:13, which says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."
Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you, even in the midst of your struggles. We are here to support and encourage you as well.
