Need God to leave me be

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache for the suffering you are carrying. It is clear you feel abandoned, forgotten, or even betrayed by God, and we want to speak truth into this darkness with both gentleness and urgency. The idea that God has refused to help or bless you is a lie straight from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But the truth of Scripture declares that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), that He collects every tear you’ve cried (Psalm 56:8), and that His love for you is steadfast—even when you cannot feel it (Lamentations 3:22-23).

You say you want God to leave you alone, but we must lovingly warn you: that is the most dangerous prayer a soul can utter. To push away the only Source of true hope, peace, and salvation is to remain in bondage to the very pain you’re trying to escape. Jesus Himself said, *"Apart from me, you can do nothing"* (John 15:5). Without Him, there is no lasting blessing, no true help, and no escape from the brokenness of this world. But *with* Him, there is redemption, purpose, and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). He is not a distant God who withholds good from you—He is the Father who gave His *only Son* to die for you, so that you might have eternal life (John 3:16). If He did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for *you*, how will He not also freely give you all things? (Romans 8:32).

We must also ask: Have you surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ? There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and without faith in Him, we remain separated from God (Isaiah 59:2). If you have not yet repented of your sins and trusted in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so today. He stands at the door of your heart, knocking (Revelation 3:20). He will not force His way in—He waits for you to invite Him. But oh, how He longs to come in and bring healing, restoration, and peace!

Perhaps your anger stems from unanswered prayers or unmet expectations. We understand that pain, but we must remind you that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His timing is perfect. He sees the full picture when we see only a fragment. Even Jesus, in His darkest hour, cried out, *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"* (Matthew 27:46). Yet three days later, God raised Him from the dead, proving that even in the deepest despair, God is working a plan far greater than we can imagine.

We also wonder: Is there unconfessed sin in your life that has created a barrier between you and God? The Bible tells us that if we regard iniquity in our hearts, the Lord will not hear us (Psalm 66:18). Sin separates us from His presence, but repentance restores us. If there is bitterness, rebellion, or any form of disobedience in your life, we urge you to lay it before the Lord. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Lastly, we must ask: Are you walking in obedience to His Word? Jesus said, *"If you love me, keep my commandments"* (John 14:15). Obedience is not a condition for God’s love—He loves you unconditionally—but it *is* the path to experiencing His blessings and protection. If you are living in willful disobedience, especially in areas like relationships (fornication, adultery, homosexuality, or any union outside of biblical marriage), idolatry, or rebellion, you are walking outside of God’s will, and that will always lead to pain. His commands are not to restrict you but to protect you and lead you into abundant life (John 10:10).

So we plead with you: Do not push God away. Run *to* Him instead. Cry out to Him in your anger, your pain, your confusion—He can handle it. He is big enough for your doubts and strong enough to carry your burdens. The psalmists often poured out their complaints to God, yet they always ended with praise because they knew His character. You can do the same.

Let us pray for you now with hearts full of love and urgency:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cries. Lord, they feel abandoned, forgotten, and even betrayed, but we declare that You are a God who *never* leaves nor forsakes Your children (Deuteronomy 31:6). You are the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3), and we ask that You would break through the darkness that has blinded them to Your love.

If there is unconfessed sin in their life, Lord, convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Soften their heart to repentance and lead them into the light of Your truth. If they have never surrendered to Jesus, oh God, draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see that salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12), and that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in their mind—the lies that say You don’t care, that You won’t help, that they are beyond Your reach. Replace those lies with Your truth: that You loved them enough to die for them, that You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them (Jeremiah 29:11), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that even when they don’t feel You, You are there. Even when the answers don’t come, You are working. Even when the pain is overwhelming, You are holding them together (Colossians 1:17).

Give them the strength to surrender, the courage to trust, and the faith to believe that You are good, even when life is not. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are *for* them, not against them (Romans 8:31).

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Beloved, we urge you: Do not harden your heart. Today, if you hear His voice, do not reject it (Hebrews 3:15). Turn to Him. He is waiting. He loves you more than you could ever imagine, and He longs to restore you, bless you, and walk with you through every storm. You are not alone—He is with you, even now. Will you let Him in?

Dear friend, we hear your cry and we're here to walk with you. We understand that you're hurting, feeling abandoned, and it's okay to feel that way. God is big enough to handle your raw emotions. In fact, He wants you to be honest with Him. He's not distant; He's right here, aching with you.

You ask for God to leave you alone, but we urge you, don't push Him away. He's the only one who can truly heal and comfort you. Jesus said, "Apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). He's not a distant God, but a Father who loves you so much that He gave His only Son for you (John 3:16). He's not withholding good from you; He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We wonder, is there something blocking your relationship with God? Unconfessed sin, perhaps? Bitterness, rebellion, or disobedience? If so, lay it before Him. He's faithful to forgive and cleanse (1 John 1:9).

Also, are you walking in obedience to His Word? Obedience isn't about earning God's love, but about experiencing His blessings and protection. It's the path to abundant life (John 10:10).

Please, don't push God away. Run to Him instead. Cry out to Him in your anger, your pain, your confusion. He can handle it. He's big enough for your doubts and strong enough to carry your burdens.

Let's pray for you together, dear friend.
