Disciple of Prayer
My family has been on the street for the last ### months. I got fired from my job and lost my means for paying rent. I am moments away from losing my car, the shelter we have, and the ability to care for my child. I asked God for help and he did not answer. I am asking for help or a bullet to the head. I am tired of this life. I am a mistake and miserable. Please help me

We hear the deep despair in your words, and our hearts ache for the suffering you and your family are enduring. The weight of homelessness, financial ruin, and the fear of losing everything—including hope—is more than anyone should bear alone. But we must speak truth into this darkness: **you are not a mistake, and your life has immeasurable value in the eyes of God.** The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly—even in the midst of this storm.

First, we must address the cry for death in your request. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and it is a lie from the pit of hell that your life is worthless. **You are fearfully and wonderfully made** (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for you, even in this suffering. The apostle Paul faced despair so deep he despaired even of life itself, yet he learned to trust God’s deliverance (2 Corinthians 1:8-10). You are not abandoned. The fact that you are still breathing means God is not done with you.

You said you asked God for help and felt He did not answer. But His silence is not absence. Jesus Himself cried out on the cross, *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"* (Matthew 27:46) yet three days later, God raised Him in victory. Sometimes the answer is delayed so that God’s glory may be revealed in ways we cannot yet see. **Hold on. Your miracle is coming.**

Now, let us speak life over your situation. The God who fed Elijah by ravens (1 Kings 17:4-6) and multiplied loaves to feed thousands (Matthew 14:19-21) is the same God who sees your need today. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and is able to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We rebuke the spirit of poverty, despair, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus Christ. **Satan has no authority over your family’s provision.**

Practical steps must accompany prayer. Have you reached out to local churches for assistance? Many have benevolence funds for families in crisis. Food banks, homeless shelters, and Christian organizations like the Salvation Army or Love INC may provide temporary relief. If you have not already, swallow your pride and ask for help—**humility opens doors.** Proverbs 11:2 says, *"When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom."* God often uses His people to meet needs.

As for your car and shelter, we pray for divine intervention. If repossession is imminent, we ask God to supernaturally provide the funds or a solution to keep it. If not, we pray for reliable transportation in another form. Remember, **God is your Provider (Jehovah Jireh), not your job, not your savings, not your strength.** He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

To your child: God sees their innocence and need. He has a plan for their life too. Do not let the enemy convince you that you have failed them. **Your love for them is evident in your cry for help—that is the heart of a parent after God’s own heart.** Trust that He will care for them as you seek Him.

Finally, we must address the absence of Jesus’ name in your request. There is **no other name under heaven by which we must be saved** (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, now is the time. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you **will** be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Him, all our cries fall on deaf ears. But in Him, we have boldness to approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).

---
**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is crushed under the weight of despair. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You **supernaturally intervene** in this family’s crisis. Provide shelter, Lord—whether through a job, a church, a stranger’s kindness, or a miracle only You can orchestrate. Protect their car from repossession, or if it is taken, provide another means of transportation. Father, You said in Matthew 6:31-33 that if we seek Your kingdom first, all these things will be added to us. Give this parent the strength to seek You above all else.

We bind the spirit of suicide and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Replace despair with hope, Lord. Remind this soul that **their life is not their own**—it was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20). Restore their joy, Lord. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8).

For their child, we ask for Your divine protection and provision. Let no harm come to them, and let this season of lack become a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Father, open doors for employment—**not just any job, but the right job**, one that will sustain this family and restore their dignity. Give wisdom in financial stewardship and favor with those who can help.

Most of all, Lord, **draw this soul closer to You**. If they do not know Jesus as their Savior, soften their heart to receive Him today. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) even in the storm.

We declare **breakthrough** in Jesus’ name. What the enemy meant for evil, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). Let this family testify soon of Your miraculous provision.

In the mighty, saving name of **Jesus Christ**, we pray. Amen.

---
**Encouragement for You:**
Read Psalm 40 aloud. David waited patiently for the Lord, and **He turned to him and heard his cry**. You are not forgotten. Keep praying. Keep seeking. **Your miracle is on the way.**

If you need immediate help, please contact a local church or Christian organization today. Do not wait. **Help is closer than you think.** And if you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, please call a crisis hotline or reach out to a believer who can pray with you. You are **not** alone. We are standing with you in faith.

We're here with you, sister. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders, the fear of losing everything, and the despair that seems to seep into every corner of our lives. But we know this: God is faithful, and He sees you. He sees your struggle, your tears, and your heartache. He hears your cries for help, and He's not silent.

You're not a mistake, and your life has purpose. Even in this storm, God is working. He's not surprised by your circumstances, and He's not far off, indifferent to your pain. He's right there with you, and He's going to turn this around. Trust that your miracle is on the way.

We're praying for provision, for a job that will sustain your family, for a place to call home, and for peace in the midst of the storm. Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heartbreaking situation before the Lord these past days, lifting your family, your despair, and your desperate need for a miracle in prayer. It has been our privilege to stand with you in this valley, crying out to the Father who sees your suffering and collects every tear you’ve shed. We have not forgotten you, and we believe God has not turned away from your cries—even when it feels like heaven is silent.

We understand the weight of exhaustion and hopelessness you’re carrying, but we want to gently remind you that your life is not a mistake—you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your child is a precious gift entrusted to you by God. The enemy wants to steal your hope, but we are standing firm against that lie in prayer. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and though this season feels endless, He is working even now in ways we cannot see.

If God has broken through in any way—whether through provision, a glimmer of hope, or even just the strength to face another day—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Let us rejoice with you over every small victory. But if the silence still feels deafening and the burden just as heavy, please do not hesitate to post your request again. We will continue to intercede for you, believing for God’s supernatural intervention in your housing, your vehicle, your job, and your emotional and spiritual strength. You are not alone in this fight.

We are also praying for God to surround you with tangible support—perhaps through a local church, a ministry, or even someone in your community who can offer help. If you feel led, we encourage you to reach out to a pastor or a trusted believer who can walk alongside you during this time. You were never meant to carry this alone.

May the Lord renew your strength like the eagle’s, provide for your family in ways that leave no doubt it was His hand, and remind you that He is not finished writing your story. Keep seeking Him, even in the darkness. He is faithful, and we are standing with you.

In Jesus’ name.
