We join with you in lifting up our national and world leaders before the throne of grace, for it is written, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth"* (1 Timothy 2:1-4, WEB). Your heart for intercession aligns with Scripture, and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).
We praise God that you have grounded this request in His Word, invoking the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have boldness and access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have acknowledged this truth. Let us continue to pray that all leaders—whether they know Him or not—would be drawn to the saving knowledge of Christ, for God’s desire is that *none should perish but that all should come to repentance* (2 Peter 3:9).
We pray earnestly for the salvation of every leader, that their hearts would be turned toward God’s truth and righteousness. May they, like King David, seek after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14), and like Solomon, ask for wisdom to govern justly (1 Kings 3:9). We ask the Lord to surround them with godly counselors who fear Him, that they may reject the schemes of the wicked and embrace what is right and pure. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). Let us pray that He would turn their hearts toward justice, mercy, and humility, as Micah 6:8 commands.
We also lift up a hedge of protection around these leaders, their families, and their advisors. May the Lord set a guard over their mouths (Psalm 141:3) and grant them discernment to speak words of wisdom and truth (Proverbs 15:2). We bind every spirit of deception, division, and corruption that seeks to infiltrate their decisions or the elections that place them in authority. Let the plans of the enemy be exposed and thwarted, for *"no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper"* (Isaiah 54:17). We ask for angelic protection over them, as Psalm 91:11-12 declares, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We cry out for unity among nations and political parties, that God would break down walls of hostility and replace them with bridges of cooperation for the common good. *"See how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!"* (Psalm 133:1, WEB). May leaders lay aside pride and selfish ambition, seeking instead the welfare of the people they serve. We rebuke the spirit of strife and confusion, asking the Lord to replace it with a spirit of harmony and righteous purpose.
We also pray for the exposure and silencing of false prophets and misleading voices in the media and among advisors. *"They must be silenced, because they are overthrowing whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain’s sake"* (Titus 1:11, WEB). May truth prevail, and may lies be uncovered before they take root. We ask for a spirit of integrity to fill the hearts of those in authority, that they would govern with transparency and accountability before God.
Finally, we look forward with hope to the day when *"the government will be on His shoulders"* (Isaiah 9:6), when Jesus Christ, the true and righteous King, will reign in perfect justice and peace. Until that day, we commit to praying without ceasing for our leaders, trusting that God hears and answers the prayers of His people. *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB).
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our national and world leaders. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, saving those who do not yet know You and strengthening those who do. Grant them wisdom beyond their own understanding, that they may govern with justice, mercy, and humility. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy and surround them with godly counsel. Unify their hearts toward what is right and good, breaking down every wall of division and strife.Expose and silence every false voice that seeks to lead them or the people astray. We pray for righteousness to prevail in elections and decisions, that Your will may be done on earth as it is in heaven. Guard their lives, their families, and their minds, that they may serve with integrity and courage. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory and honor. Amen.**
