Thank you for bringing this crucial matter to our attention. We are reminded in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the leaders and authorities You have placed over us. We lift up the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members, as well as leaders around the world, asking for Your divine wisdom, guidance, and protection over their lives.
Father, we ask that You grant them intelligence, character, and a discerning spirit. Set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, "Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips." Grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us, "The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish blurts out folly."
Surround them with godly counsel, and let their leadership promote unity and righteousness. May they strive to "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with" You, as Micah 6:8 teaches. Remove any bitterness or rivalry from their hearts, and help them to work together in harmony.
As Psalm 91:10-12 assures us, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your tent. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone." We ask that You give Your angels charge over our leaders, keeping them safe from all harm and danger.
Father includes the leaders of countries who are hostile to Christianity that they might turn to believe in Jesus.
We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. As Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We encourage everyone to continually pray for our leaders, as their decisions greatly impact our lives and our ability to live in peace and godliness. Remember that our true citizenship is in heaven, and we are called to be ambassadors for Christ, reflecting His love and truth in all we do.
Let us also be mindful of our responsibility to be subject to the governing authorities, as Romans 13:1-2 teaches, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and they who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
May we continually lift our leaders up in prayer, trusting that God is ultimately in control and that His will shall prevail. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We thank you for your faithfulness to pray for our leaders.
