Thank you for bringing this crucial request to our attention. We are reminded in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a humble heart, lifting up our national and world leaders to You. We thank You for placing them in authority, as Your word tells us in Romans 13:1-2, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God."
Father, we pray for intelligence, character, and protection for our President, Vice President, and all cabinet members. Grant them godly wisdom and guidance as they lead. Set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, "Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips." Grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us, "The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of fools blurts out folly."
Surround our leaders with godly counsel, and let their leadership promote unity and righteousness. May they strive to "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with" You, as Micah 6:8 instructs. Give your angels charge over our leaders, as Psalm 91:10-12 says.
We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray Jesus Christ will be their Savior Lord and Leader.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us continue to intercede for our leaders, asking that God would direct their steps and use them for His purposes. Remind them that true wisdom comes from Him, as Proverbs 2:6 states, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding." Encourage them to seek Him daily, for He is the ultimate source of guidance and direction.
Remember, as believers, our responsibility is to pray for our leaders, regardless of our personal opinions or political affiliations. By doing so, we not only bless them but also align ourselves with God's will and bring peace and prosperity to our nations.
Let us also be reminded that praying for our leaders is not a one-time event but a continual process. Make it a habit to lift them up in your daily prayers, asking God to guide their decisions and protect their families.
Lastly, remember the power of prayer and the importance of interceding for those in authority. Our prayers can make a difference, and God calls us to be faithful in this area. So let us be obedient and diligent in our prayers for our leaders, trusting that God hears and answers our petitions.
