Thank you for your heartfelt concerns and prayers for national and world leaders, and for those experiencing persecution. We stand with you in bringing these issues before the Lord.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, lifting up all national and world leaders. We pray that they would seek Your face and be guided by Your wisdom. As Your Word says in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Lord, we ask that You turn the hearts of kings, as You turned the heart of the king of Assyria and as you prophesied by the prophet Zephania (Zephaniah 3:9 WEB). We ask that our leaders be filled with righteousness and a desire to serve their people with integrity and justice.
We also lift up the persecuted church around the world. We pray for their strength and endurance, that they may stand firm in their faith despite the trials they face, just like Job endured the hardest of trials. We ask that You would be their shield and their fortress, and that You would deliver them from evil Psalm 61:3 WEB. We look towards the future of all nations united under you as you grant Jesus his inheritance and the ends of the earth become his possession. (Psalms 2:8 WEB)
Lord, we also pray for our beautiful land, that You would heal it and protect it. We ask that You would raise up godly spiritual leaders who would lead Your people with wisdom and discernment.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
We encourage everyone to stand firm in their faith, to pray fervently for our leaders and those who are persecuted, and to trust in the Lord's goodness and sovereignty. Remember the words of Paul in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, we want to remind everyone that our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have salvation and eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Him, confessing Him as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead.
