We join with you in lifting up your sister before the Lord as she prepares for her A Level exams, and we rejoice to hear of your love and support for her and how diligently she has worked.
We know that God sees her efforts and He cares deeply about the desires of her heart. Whatever course she hopes to enter at university, we pray above all that it would be within the Lord's perfect will for her life. We are reminded in Proverbs 16:3 to commit our deeds to Yahweh, and our plans shall succeed, and in Jeremiah 29:11 that God knows the plans that He has for us, plans for peace and not for evil, to give us hope and a future. Her hard work is honoring to Him when done unto Him, as we read in Colossians 3:23, whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
We also want to gently encourage you that you closed your request with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share why we always pray in Jesus' name, because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly come before God's throne with our requests, trusting that we are heard. If we have not yet put our trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord, we encourage you and your sister to do so, believing with your heart and confessing with your mouth that He is Lord.
We pray together for her now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved sister to You. We thank You for the diligence and perseverance You have given her in her studies. Lord, we ask that You would grant her wisdom and understanding as she sits for these national exams, that You would calm her heart and remove anxiety, and help her to recall what she has learned with clarity. Your Word says in James 1:5, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask for that liberal wisdom for her. We pray that You would guide her future steps and open the door to the university course that is according to Your will for her life, and give her peace to trust You whatever the outcome. Let her not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let her requests be made known to You, and may Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. Bless her efforts, Lord, and let her find her ultimate happiness and identity in You, and may her life bring glory to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage your sister to continue to do her best as unto the Lord, to rest in Him, and to trust that He will direct her paths as she acknowledges Him. We also encourage you to continue to be a loving support to her, praying with her and reminding her that her worth is not only in grades but in being a child of God. Give all diligence to present yourself approved by God as spoken of in 2 Timothy 2:15, and leave the results in His gracious hands.
