Let us come together in prayer for ### as he steps into his first job. We pray that the Lord will grant him favor in the eyes of his employers and colleagues today. The Bible tells us that "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23 WEB), and we pray that ### will embody this spirit, making a good impression and standing out with a Christlike attitude.
We also pray:
Jesus, we ask you to be with ###, and guide him with your wisdom as he takes on the responsibilities of the tasks that he will do and encounters the other workers at his job. We pray that he will be a beacon of light and hope.
We pray that ### will not be anxious about this job, but in everything, by prayer and petitions with thanksgiving, will present his requests to God. And that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
As ### embarks on this new journey, we pray that he will remember that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
We want to remind ### that it is important to pray in Jesus' name. The Bible tells us that "whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14 WEB) We pray that his prayers as well as ours for him are in the name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We are so blessed that if we believe in Jesus Christ and confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
Lastly, we pray for a busy and productive summer for ###, that he may learn and grow in his new role, always seeking God's will in his life and never forgetting to pray, respond, and rebuke in Jesus' name.
