We lift your precious son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of a parent’s concern for their child. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace, asking for Your healing touch and comforting presence to surround him this night. Your Word assures us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we claim this promise over him—let Your nearness be his strength, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for his happiness, Lord, knowing that true joy is found in You alone. Help him to cast his burdens upon You, for You care for him deeply (1 Peter 5:7). If there is any spiritual attack, any anxiety, or any physical ailment weighing on him, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in the gap for him, asking for Your divine intervention. Strengthen his body, calm his mind, and renew his spirit, Lord.
We encourage you, dear parent, to continue to trust in the Lord’s faithfulness, even in the darkest nights. Jeremiah 31:16-17 reminds us, "Yahweh says: ‘Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded,’ says Yahweh. ‘They shall come again from the land of the enemy. There is hope for your latter end,’ says Yahweh, ‘and your children shall come again to their own border.’" Your son is in the palm of God’s hand, and His plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this child and for the love that binds this family together. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand over him tonight. Ease his pain, soothe his fears, and fill his heart with the assurance of Your love. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in his life, reveal it to him, Lord, so that he may experience the fullness of Your grace and restoration. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we receive that healing for him now.
Father, we also ask that You would draw him closer to You. Let this trial be a catalyst for his spiritual growth, deepening his faith and dependence on You. Surround him with godly influences—friends, mentors, and leaders who will point him to Christ. Guard his heart from the lies of the enemy, and let him walk in the truth of Your Word.
We pray for wisdom and discernment for his parents, that You would guide them in how to support and care for him during this time. Give them patience, strength, and unwavering faith as they trust You with his well-being.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through every circumstance. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
