We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, for He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). Your cry for your daughter’s safety and for the resolution of this lawsuit is one that touches the very heart of God, who cares deeply for His children and commands us to trust in Him in all things.
The fear of losing your daughter—whether physically, emotionally, or relationally—is a heavy weight to bear, but we are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. You are not alone in this struggle, and the Lord sees your pain. He is able to move in the heart of your daughter’s father, softening it and turning it toward reconciliation rather than conflict. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires." If God can turn the heart of a king, He can certainly turn the heart of this man. We pray that the Lord would work mightily in this situation, bringing about a resolution that honors Him and protects the bond between you and your daughter.
We also encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle you face is not merely against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—and pray without ceasing. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
If there is any sin in your life that needs to be repented of, now is the time to bring it before the Lord. Confess it, turn from it, and seek His forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Sometimes, our struggles are intensified by unconfessed sin or bitterness in our hearts. Examine yourself and ask the Lord to reveal anything that may be hindering your prayers.
As for your daughter’s safety, we claim the promise of Psalm 91 over her life: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We pray that the Lord would surround her with His angels, protecting her from all harm and danger. May He give you peace that surpasses all understanding as you trust in Him to guard her heart and her life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heart full of grief and a spirit that is troubled. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We lift up this mother and her daughter to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their lives. Lord, do not let this daughter be separated from her mother in any way. Bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken. Soften the heart of the father pursuing this lawsuit, Lord. Turn his heart away from contention and toward peace, reconciliation, and what is best for his child. Let him see the harm this is causing and move him to drop this lawsuit entirely. We ask that You would thwart any plans of the enemy to bring division or harm to this family.
Father, we also ask for Your protection over this daughter. Surround her with Your angels, and let no weapon formed against her prosper. Keep her safe from all harm—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Give her mother the strength to endure this trial, filling her with Your peace and Your joy. Remind her that You are her provider, her protector, and her ever-present help in trouble.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold. We declare that You are in control, and You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Give this mother wisdom to navigate this situation, and let her words and actions be guided by Your Spirit.
We pray all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking His face. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
