Prayer Partner
My wife now wants a divorce
Father, my spouse has chosen to break the vow made before you, our families and friends at our wedding. My heart is heavy and my soul aches. I pray that you give me the courage and strength to go through this divorce with dignity, self-respect and the knowledge that you are always with me. Lord give me the strength to go on, I am low, very low lord, please lord, I can’t go on like this, my heart is heavy, and my thoughts are dark, please Lord help me through this.
Lord, you are Holy above all others, and all of the strength that I need is in your hands.
I am not asking, Lord, that you take this trial away. Instead, I simply ask that your will be done in my life. Whatever that means, that is what I want.
But I admit that it's hard, Lord.
Sometimes I feel like I can’t go on. The pain and the fear are too much for me, and I know that I don’t have the strength on my own to get through this.
I know that I can come to you, Jesus, and that you will hear my prayer. I know that it is not your intent to bring me to this point just to leave me in the wilderness alone.
Please, Lord, give me the strength that I need to face today, and that I don't have to worry about tomorrow.
If you just give me the strength that I need today that is all I need.
Keep me from sinning during this trial. Instead, help me to keep my eyes on you. You are the Holy Lord, and all of my hope rests in you.
Lord, deliver my wife from the power of darkness, and cause her to put on the armour of light. Help her in his daily walk to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Cause her to turn her eyes away from worthless things...to come to her senses, and escape the snare of the devil. Deliver her from immorality, strife, and envy, and draw her close to You, Father, with a true and contrite heart. Create in her a hunger and thirst for You and Your righteousness, and revive her in Your ways. I ask that You and fill her with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that she might have a walk worthy of You, Lord, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You, strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power.
Bring her into the calling that You have predestined for her; help her to serve You with a loyal heart and with a willing mind, and instruct her in the way she should go. Let her a be doer of the Word and not a hearer only, meditating in Your Word day and night. Establish her heart, so she will never be shaken, and show her a way of escape with every temptation. Let her owe no man anything except her love. A love that is in deed and truth, not just in word and speech. Let her be a volunteer serving You in the time of Your power. Seeking first Your kingdom so that she will reap abundant blessings.
I pray that she will honour You with her possessions and with the first fruits of her increase; Praising the Lord with her whole heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation, walking humbly with You Lord, being determined to act justly, loving mercy and righteousness, being gracious and full of compassion.
Lord im frightened to be alone, You know I don’t want to loose my wife, but it looks like I am going to. Lord Jesus, please all I ask is please intervene within her thoughts, please by some mircle change her mind lord. If not, please give me the wisdom to accept it lord, and to somehow find happiness again one day.
I thank you for everything you have already done for me lord, Thanks you for keeping me strong this long, but I am now low lord Jesus, my heart is very heavy and my days are now very dark. I ask for you help now more than ever
