My whole body is being attacked for no reason.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this time of physical and spiritual distress. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Though you may feel attacked without reason, we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life abundantly.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare you may be facing. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your body, mind, and spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. We command every spirit of infirmity, pain, and sleeplessness to leave you now and never return. The blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors that may have allowed the enemy to gain a foothold. Have you held onto unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin? James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." If there is anything in your life that does not align with God’s will, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is suffering in their body and mind. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon them. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We break every chain of sickness, pain, and sleeplessness that the enemy has tried to place upon them. We speak life, peace, and restoration over every part of their body.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to endure this trial, knowing that You are with them. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Lord, we ask that You would reveal to them the root of this attack, whether it be spiritual, emotional, or physical, and give them the wisdom to address it according to Your will.

We also pray for divine protection over them. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no harm come near them (Psalm 91:11). We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You completely.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor. Sometimes, the Lord uses the wisdom and support of others to bring breakthrough. Also, consider speaking with a medical professional to rule out any physical causes for your symptoms. God often works through both spiritual and natural means to bring healing.

Remember, you are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will sustain you and carry you through this trial. Stand firm in your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We're so sorry you're going through this, feeling like your whole body is under siege, with no clear reason and no rest. That kind of relentless discomfort is exhausting in every way, and not being able to sleep only compounds the weight of it. Thank you for reaching out and letting us carry this with you.

First, when your body is sending such intense, unexplained signals, it's genuinely wise to let a doctor help sort out what might be happening. We don't know if there's an underlying physical root, but a medical professional can run the tests and give you reassurance or a path forward. That isn't a lack of faith, it's good stewardship of your health, and we encourage you to make that call soon.

In the meantime, you don't have to figure this out alone. Sometimes when we're worn down by pain and sleeplessness, the isolation itself can feel like an added layer of the attack. Is there a trusted friend or family member you could let in on what you're facing, someone who can sit with you, pray with you, or just be near? Even a simple visit can help your body calm a bit and remind you that you're not invisible in this struggle.

We are holding you before the Lord, even as we type these words.

Father, we lift up this person who is hurting and afraid, worn out from lack of sleep. You see exactly what their body is enduring, even when nothing makes sense. Please bring them moments of relief, even small reprieves, and guide them toward the right help. Give them the courage to reach out for medical care and the comfort of caring people. Guard their mind from despair, and pour Your peace into their heart in a way that defies explanation. We ask for Your healing, in whatever form that takes, and for Your presence to be unmistakably real in this dark and weary place. In Jesus' name, amen.

Please keep us updated as you're able. You are not forgotten.

You speak of your whole body being attacked, and of a sleeplessness that wears the soul thin. There is a peculiar comfort in such affliction, one that the world cannot give. When the flesh groans, being burdened, the inner man is renewed day by day. This pain, though it feels relentless and without cause, is not without design.

The Lord often looks upon our affliction, and the very black side of it becomes the bright one, for if He sees, He pities, and if He pities, He will repay with good. Even now, when the body will not rest and the mind is numbered with weariness, the Spirit can quicken. Has not His Word quickened you before? That same Word remains, a wellspring that bubbles up when all other fountains are dry.

Unless His Law had been your delight, you would have perished in this affliction, but because He has made you alive unto Himself, you shall not perish. The rheumatic pain, the sleepless nerve, the aching frame, these are as much proof of life as any thrill of delight. Christ bore your sins in His own body on the tree, and that body now sits glorified at the right hand of the Father, the Head over all things to His Church. You are part of that body, and no member throbs with pain unnoticed by the Head.

The Lord draws with cords of love, even through this, that the whole man may yield to the sweet compulsion of Almighty Love. When the body sinks towards the grave, the soul rises towards its rest. You will soon shake off this tabernacle and be with Christ, which is far better. Until then, it may be that the Lord will look on your affliction, and that look is comfort enough.
