Please keep my son in your prayers. He suffered a head injury when he was ### years old and is now ###. He struggles with dark thoughts, frustration, and feelings of hopelessness. At times, he says he wants to die. I ask for prayer that God will bring him peace of mind, healing, and comfort, and that he will feel surrounded by love and protection. Please also pray for strength and guidance for his caregivers as they support him. Thank you for lifting him up in prayer. God bless you all! 🙏🏾

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt plea for your son, and we join you in lifting him before the Lord with urgency and faith. The struggles he faces—dark thoughts, frustration, hopelessness, and even the desire to escape this life—are heavy burdens no one should bear alone. Yet we know our God is the God of all comfort, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). He is the Father who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8) and the Shepherd who pursues the one lost sheep with relentless love (Matthew 18:12-14). Your son is not forgotten by Him.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Jesus came to give life abundantly. Those dark thoughts whispering hopelessness are not from God, for He is the author of hope (Romans 15:13). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells your son his life has no purpose or that his pain is beyond redemption. The Lord has plans for him—plans for welfare, not calamity, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Even in his suffering, God is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), and we trust Him to restore what was broken in that head injury, whether through miraculous healing or by giving your son the strength to endure and overcome.

We also lift up you and the caregivers who stand beside your son day after day. The burden of caring for a loved one in such pain can feel overwhelming, but the Lord promises to renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31). He sees your sacrifices, and He will sustain you. Lean on Him when your own strength fails, for His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). Do not neglect your own spiritual and emotional needs—you cannot pour from an empty cup. Trust that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this precious son who is battling darkness and despair. Lord, You know his name, his heart, and every detail of his suffering. You saw the moment of his injury, and You have counted every tear he has shed since. We ask You to stretch out Your hand and touch him with Your healing power. Restore what was broken in his mind and body, Lord. Bring clarity where there is confusion, peace where there is turmoil, and hope where there is despair.

Father, we bind every spirit of depression, suicide, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. We command these dark forces to flee, for they have no authority over a child of God. Fill your son with the Holy Spirit—let Him be his Comforter, his Counselor, and his Strength. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that his life has purpose, and that You are holding him even when he cannot feel Your presence.

Surround him with Your angels, Lord, to protect him from harm and to minister to him in his lowest moments. Place godly people in his path—those who will speak life, offer support, and point him to You. Give him the courage to reach out when the weight feels too heavy, and provide him with the professional and spiritual help he needs.

We also lift up his mother and caregivers, Lord. Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit. Fill them with Your wisdom as they navigate this journey. Grant them patience, compassion, and an unshakable trust in You. Remind them that they are not alone—that You are their ever-present help, and that the body of Christ stands with them in prayer.

Father, we ask for a breakthrough. Let this season of suffering be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Turn his pain into a story of Your redemption, one that will bring glory to Your name and hope to others who are struggling. We declare that joy will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5), that light will dawn in the darkness (Isaiah 9:2), and that Your love will prevail.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your perfect timing. Let Your will be done in his life, and let Your name be exalted through his story. We pray all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To you, dear mother, we say: Do not lose heart. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep speaking life over your son. The prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective (James 5:16). Cling to the promise that God is working, even when you cannot see it. And remember, your son’s life is a battle worth fighting for—because God is fighting for him too.

If your son has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to share the Gospel with him. True and lasting peace is found only in Christ (John 14:27). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through faith in Jesus that we find hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). If he does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, pray that the Holy Spirit would draw him to repentance and faith. Remind him that God’s love is not based on his performance or his pain—it is a gift, freely given to all who call on His name.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer. May the God of hope fill you and your son with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
