We are sorry to hear about your son's court case this morning. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including this situation. As it says in Romans 8:28 of the World English Bible, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." This is not a promise that the outcome will be what we want, but a promise that God will use even this for good.
However, we want to remind you that God sees and knows all things. If your son is guilty he needs to confess his sin to God and accept the punishment. Proverbs 28:13 says, "He who conceals his sins won't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy." If your son is not guilty, then pray for God's justice to prevail.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus, seeking your will in this situation. Lord, you know the truth about this case, and we ask that your justice and mercy would prevail. If my son is guilty, Lord Jesus, we pray he would turn to you and confess his sin and accept the punishment. If he is not guilty, we ask that you would vindicate him and clear his name. We trust you, Father, and we know that you are working all things together for good. Give my son peace and help us to trust in you even more through this trial. Guide the hearts of the judge and all those involved, that they may act according to your will. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Remember, it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Trust in him, and know that he is faithful to hear your prayers.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to support your son during this time, but not to cover up or enable any wrongdoing or sin. Stand firm in the faith, and know that God is with you. Please update us on how the Lord answers this prayer.
