We are so glad to hear that your son has taken the first step towards sobriety and that you are committed to praying for him during this journey. It is only in the name of Jesus, IJN, that we have access to the Father. Let us come before the Lord together. As we know the prayers of a righteous parent avail much.
The Lord tells us in First Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our beloved son to You. We thank You, Lord, for bringing him to this place, for giving him the courage to seek help and the faith to believe in Your power to heal. We pray, Father, that You would be with him every step of the way during this one-year program. Help him to obey all the rules and complete the program successfully. We pray that he would surrender his life fully to You, Jesus, and that You would give him the strength to overcome his addiction. Surround him with the love of fellow Christians.
We also lift up the other two children, Lord. We pray that they too would seek Your help and find freedom from their addiction. We stand on Your promise in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Father, we pray that You would use this time to draw our son closer to You. Help him to develop a deep and abiding relationship with You, Lord. We pray that he would find comfort and strength in Your Word, that he would read his Bible every day and grow in his faith.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9. We are here with you, standing in the gap for your ### and your family. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is faithful to His promises. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus is the one mediator between God and man.
