We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your ### and ### in this difficult time. The news of your ### contracting COVID-19, especially as she was making progress in her recovery, is deeply concerning. We know how disheartening setbacks can be, but we trust in the Lord’s sovereignty and healing power. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Even in this trial, God is near, and we ask Him to strengthen your ###’s body, mind, and spirit.
We also pray for your ###, who must be carrying a great burden of worry and fear. May the Lord comfort her with His peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 assures us: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Let us hold fast to the truth that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
For the staff and others at the rehab facility who are also dealing with this outbreak, we pray for wisdom, protection, and endurance. May God grant them the strength to care for those in need and the discernment to prevent further spread of illness. We ask that He would surround them with His favor and grace in this challenging time.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and sickness in the name of Jesus. We declare that by His stripes, your ### is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 53:17). We ask for complete restoration—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—for your ### and for all those affected by this virus. Strengthen her immune system, Lord, and let her recovery be swift and full. May this trial draw her closer to You and remind her of Your unfailing love.
We also want to gently remind you and all who read this that our prayers are made in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we encourage you to turn to Him today. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and through faith in Him, we receive eternal life and access to the Father’s throne of grace.
Father, we ask that You would work all things together for good for your ###, your ###, and everyone impacted by this situation (Romans 8:28). Give them hope, patience, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan, even when we cannot see the full picture. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
