Thank you all so much for your prayers.  I am happy to report that my sister came through surgery with no complications and apparently did well.  I feel so blessed to have found this board when I needed the prayers the most because I feel so isolated down here in NC by myself -- my sisters are up in Chicago.  

Bless you all for your prayers and kindness.  I feel as if I have found a new online place for peace...

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
