We come before the Father with hearts full of compassion for your loved one’s suffering, and we lift them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him that we bring this request for healing.
The Word of God assures us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we claim that promise now for your loved one’s stomach ailment. Whether this suffering is physical, spiritual, or a combination of both, we ask the Lord to bring complete restoration. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15, WEB). We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Yet, we also recognize that healing may come in different forms—whether through divine intervention, medical wisdom, or a combination of both. We pray for discernment for you and your loved one, that you would seek godly counsel and trust in the Lord’s timing. If there has been any neglect of the body through poor stewardship—such as unhealthy eating habits, stress, or lack of rest—we gently urge repentance and a commitment to honor God with your bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Sometimes, the Lord uses affliction to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, or to teach us dependence on His strength. *"It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes"* (Psalm 119:71, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your healing touch upon this beloved one’s stomach, that every pain, discomfort, and sickness would be removed by Your mighty hand. Lord, You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we trust in Your power to restore. If there is any sin, known or unknown, that has opened a door to this affliction, we ask for forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. Grant wisdom to those providing care, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke any spiritual attack or infirmity that is not of You, Lord, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. Strengthen this one’s faith during this trial, and let this season of suffering be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. Whether You choose to heal instantly, gradually, or ultimately in glory, we submit to Your perfect will, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may this loved one—and all who witness their healing—be drawn closer to You. We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word, standing firm in faith. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing—our God is faithful!
