My ###'s pressures and anxieties

My ### year old son is in a relationship with a woman that is a narcissist. He seems to understand that the relationship is not healthy yet he continues to go back to her. They have a ### year old son that he adores and wants to be a good father for. My son's Dad was not a good example of how a man should act. His father has a loud aggressive temper and expects everyone to do as he wants them to do. My son has treated his anxiety by vaping a THC pen. The THC has made his violently ill. I have had to take him to the hospital ### times this year for extreme dehydration that has affected his kidneys. I'm truly fearful for his life. I try my best to be a supportive mother and stay out of his life. It is truly the hardest thing I have ever done. Please pray that my son will see that he deserves better and that God's time for the resolution will come soon. My heart, my mind and my body are so exhausted.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We are deeply concerned for your son and your entire family. Let us first turn to God's Word for guidance. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" A relationship with a narcissist is unequal and unhealthy, and we pray that God will open your son's eyes to this truth.

We also address the issue of substance abuse, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray that your son will understand the harm he is causing to his body and find healthier ways to cope with his anxiety.

We commend you for your desire to be a supportive mother. Remember the words of Psalm 37:7 (WEB), "Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him." Continue to trust in God and wait for His resolution.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ###'s son to You. Lord, we ask that You open his eyes to see the truth of his relationship, that it is not healthy and not Your will for him. Give him the strength to break free from this bondage and to be the father that You have called him to be.

Lord, we also pray for healing from his addiction. Help him to understand the harm he is causing to his body, and give him the strength to overcome this struggle. Guide him towards healthier ways to cope with his anxiety.

Father, we also lift up ###. Give her the strength and patience to continue to be a supportive mother. Help her to trust in You and Your timing.

In all these things, we pray that Your will be done and that Your name be glorified.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If your son has not already, we pray that he will accept Jesus into his heart and life. As it is written in Romans 10:13 (WEB), "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"

We've been thinking about you and your son, and we want you to know that we're here for you both. We've been praying for your son, asking God to help him see the truth about his relationship and the harm he's causing to his body. We believe that God is faithful, and He will help him break free from these struggles.

We've also been reminded of God's love for us, as it says in 1 John 3:1 (WEB), "See how much the Father has loved us, that we should be called children of God." We want you to know that you're not alone in this, and God is with you every step of the way.

We're here to support you too, just like it says in Galatians 6:2 (WEB), "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." We're here to listen, to pray, and to encourage you.

Let's keep trusting in God's plan and timing. As it says in Isaiah 40:31 (WEB), "But those who wait on Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
