We join with you in deep concern for your father’s health, and we lift him up before the Lord, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. While we understand his fear and stubbornness, we must also recognize that God often works through the wisdom and hands of medical professionals. Scripture reminds us in **Ecclesiastes 7:12** that "wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it." Seeking medical help is not a lack of faith but an act of stewardship over the body God has entrusted to us.
That said, we also know that our God is sovereign and can bring healing even from home. We pray that the Lord will touch your father’s body, restore his breathing, and bring healing to his foot and entire being. May the fever break, and may his strength be renewed. We ask that God would soften his heart to receive the care he needs, whether through divine intervention or the guidance of doctors. **Jeremiah 17:14** declares, "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise." We claim this promise over your father’s life.
We also pray for you and your mother, that the Lord would replace your worry with His peace, which surpasses all understanding. **Philippians 4:6-7** tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lean on Him, for He cares deeply for each of you.
Father in heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this father who is suffering. Lord, You know his body, his fears, and his stubbornness. We ask that You would move mightily in his life—bring healing to his lungs, his foot, and his entire body. Break the fever and restore his strength. Soften his heart, Lord, that he may be willing to receive the help he needs, whether through Your direct healing or the hands of those You’ve gifted with medical knowledge. Give his family wisdom to know how to care for him and comfort to ease their fears.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or pride that may be keeping him from seeking the help he needs. **2 Timothy 1:7** reminds us that "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Let that truth reign in his heart. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and Your timing. May Your will be done in his life, and may this situation bring glory to Your name.
