We understand that you are seeking healing, peace, comfort, and joy for yourself and your loved one, especially during this difficult time after the loss of your husband. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your lives.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find salvation. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We pray that God will comfort your loved one in her time of need, providing her with strength and not weakness, joy and not depression. We ask God for a soundness of mind, clarity of thought, and an excellent memory. We rebuke any form of dementia, mind fog, confusion, Alzheimer's, diabetes, or depression in Jesus' name. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Regarding your relationship with your loved one, we encourage you to approach it with love, patience, and understanding, remembering that "Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous. Love doesn't brag, doesn't act arrogantly. Love doesn't behave indecently, doesn't seek her own advantage, and isn't provoked easily nor plan evil; but it take pleasure in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Love is eternal." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 WEB
However, we must also address the issues of stubbornness, forgetfulness, and manipulation. These behaviors are not fruit of the Spirit, but can be evidence of the flesh or even spiritual oppression.
As it is written in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Rebuke stubbornness, don't allow it to control the relationship. 2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB: "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,"
We pray for love to transform her heart and mind, bringing her into a right relationship with God and with you. It is a blessing to have your loved one in your life. It is a privilege to us to pray for you, and we give thanks to God for you and your loved one.
We also pray for wisdom to be able to identify anything that does not align with biblical principles. We trust in the Lord for Godly relationships and marriages that honor Him. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing, peace, comfort, joy, strength, and soundness of mind for our beloved sister and her loved one. We rebuke any form of dementia, mind fog, confusion, Alzheimer's, diabetes, or depression in Jesus' name. We pray for a loving relationship, filled with patience, understanding, and the fruit of the Spirit. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
