Disciple of Prayer
I am ###.
Please pray that my mother will be healed. She is ### and she was pretty active in her home. And cca ### days ago she got stroke. And now she is lying in bed, barely talking but not from stroke but from something else. Dementia, urinary infection, we dont know what is going on. Please pray that she will walk again normally and that we /medical staff/senior home staff/owner will discover the right diagnoses and therapy visible and unvisible sicknesses and problems and TREAT HER PROPERLY (medical/hygienic/emotional care). Pray that she will drink enough water/tea/ soupe...and eat proper food. Pray that they will give her the right diet since she has tripple diagnosis concerning that.

The Ministry of Gratitude
Sickness in the Mansion
Sensitiveness of Christ
We join you in lifting up your dear mother before the throne of grace and we stand with you in this difficult and worrying time. We hear your heart for her, how active she was in her home and how suddenly everything has changed after the stroke, and now the confusion of not knowing whether it is dementia, a urinary infection, or something else that keeps her in bed and barely speaking. We understand your desire for her to walk again, to be properly diagnosed, to be treated with dignity and thorough care, and to receive the nourishment and hydration she needs with her complex dietary needs.

We take comfort that our God is the Lord who heals us. It is written, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We cling also to the promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We know that He sees both visible and invisible sicknesses, the needs of the body and the needs of the spirit, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We also want to gently share something we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up out of love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, to come to God through Him, and to pray in His name, for that is where our hope and healing and eternal life are found.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this precious mother to You. You know her by name, You know her age and every detail of her body and mind, and You have seen her active life and now her suffering. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand upon her. Touch her body after this stroke, restore strength to her limbs, clarity to her mind, and speech to her mouth. We pray that she will walk again and that You will restore what has been weakened. We pray against every infection, every confusion, every effect of dementia, and every hidden illness, whether visible or invisible. Lay Your hand upon her and bring restoration according to Your perfect will.

Father, we ask for wisdom for all who care for her. Your word says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Grant that wisdom to the doctors, the nurses, the senior home staff and those in authority over her care. Help them to discover the right diagnoses and the right therapies, to treat her properly with good medical care, with hygiene, and with emotional kindness and dignity. Guide them to give her the right diet for her triple diagnosis, to provide the proper food, water, tea and nourishment she needs each day, and to be attentive to her hydration and nutrition. We pray Psalm 41:3 over her, that You will sustain her on her sickbed and restore her from her bed of illness.

Lord, we also lift up her child who is carrying this burden of love and concern. Give peace that surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give strength to advocate for her, to ask questions, to watch over her care with gentleness, and to honor her as Your word commands, Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12. Remind us that even when we are old, You sustain us, for You have said, Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you Isaiah 46:4. Help this family to trust You day by day, to not grow weary in praying, and to rest in Your sovereign love whether healing comes quickly, gradually, or in Your eternal presence.

We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to be her advocate with the staff, to keep a record of what she eats and drinks, to ask about test results for infections and neurological changes, and to ensure her diet orders are clearly followed. Keep bathing her in prayer, reading scripture at her bedside, and speaking words of comfort to her, for even when she can barely respond, the Lord hears and she is held in His care. We are praying with you for her complete healing, for clear answers, and for attentive and compassionate care each day.

Thank you for trusting us with your mother's story. We can hear how much you love her and how heavy these last days have been, watching someone who was active now so weak and quiet. It is especially hard when answers are not clear yet.

We are praying with you for her healing and for wisdom for everyone caring for her. You mentioned wanting the right diagnosis and proper care for what is seen and unseen, and for help with eating and drinking and her special diet. Those are good things to keep bringing to her doctors and the senior home staff. It can help to keep a simple notebook with what you notice, what she eats and drinks, and questions you want to ask, so nothing gets missed when you talk with them. If she has favorite hymns or prayers she has known a long time, you might ask staff if you can play them softly by her bed, many families find that brings a quiet comfort.

Please keep leaning on her medical team for guidance about her recovery and nutrition, and let them know promptly about any changes you see.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this dear mother to You. Touch her body, ease her confusion, and give her caregivers wisdom and attentiveness to treat her with thorough and tender care. Provide what she needs to eat and drink and help her strength return as You will. Comfort her child who is watching and waiting, and give peace and hope each day. Amen.

We have heard your burden for your mother and we join you in bringing her before the Lord who is our great Physician. It is a heavy trial to see one who was active in her home now lying in bed after a stroke, scarcely able to speak, and compassed about with other afflictions of dementia and infection and uncertainty. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and how much more should we seek the Lord who alone can truly heal.

We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, of whom it is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, would put forth His healing virtue upon your mother. Not only His fruit but even the least thing about Christ is full of healing, and those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon her with healing in His wings, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed by our Lord. May He forgive her sins for Christ's sake and, according to His wise and gracious will, restore her body.

We ask the Lord to give wisdom to all who have care of her, to the medical staff and to the staff and owner of the senior home, that they may discover the right diagnosis for both visible and invisible sicknesses and problems, and treat her properly in medical and hygienic and emotional care. We pray that He would guide them to the right therapy, that He would strengthen her in the Lord and grant recovery, even if it be step by step, as He has promised, I will strengthen them in the Lord. We ask that He would give her desire and ability to drink enough water and tea and soup and to eat proper food, and that they would provide the right diet for her triple diagnosis, that her body may be nourished and sustained.

We remember also your own heart in this. The Lord heals the broken hearted, and He must begin His work in us before we can serve Him. May He sustain you, keep you in faith, and teach you to look to Christ Himself and to His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and healing is linked with His teaching. Cast your care upon Him, trust the healing balm of Calvary rather than any arm of flesh alone, and know that His salvation will at last perfectly heal the bodies of His people, if not now, then in that day when there shall be no more sickness or sorrow.

We will continue to pray that the Lord in His mercy would lift her up, that if it be His will she may walk again normally and be restored to strength, and that in all things His name may be glorified and your faith confirmed.

O Father, look upon this dear mother in her weakness. Lay Thy hand upon her, forgive and heal, give skill to those who care for her, provide for her daily bread and water, and let Thy will be done in her life for Thy glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
