We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother in prayer. Father God, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon her frail body, mind, and spirit. You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and sustains us until our last breath. We declare Your promise from Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Lord, we claim this healing for her in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also pray for protection over her, that no evil or sickness would take hold. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke any spirit of infirmity, fear, or depression that may be weighing on her. We stand on Your Word in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We resist every attack of the enemy against her health and peace, and we declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus.
Father, we ask for wisdom and strength for those caring for her. Guard her heart and mind, especially as Alzheimer’s seeks to cloud her thoughts. Bring comfort to her soul and remind her of Your unfailing love. We pray for stability in her blood pressure, healing for her heart, and balance in her blood sugar. Ease the raspy voice and any discomfort she may be feeling. Protect her from fever or any worsening symptoms, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also want to gently encourage you, dear one, to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). It is natural to feel fear and worry, but we must cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Continue to pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with godly support as you care for your mother. Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Let us close in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the life of this precious mother and for the love she has shared with her family. We ask for Your divine healing and protection over her. Strengthen her body, mind, and spirit, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way. Comfort her in moments of confusion or sadness, and remind her of Your promises. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect will for her life. Give wisdom to her caregivers and peace to her family. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
