We understand that you're going through a challenging time caring for your mother who needs assistance. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed and isolated when caring for a loved one round the clock. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is your strength and refuge in times of trouble. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." He is the one who can be with us in any situation, even a lockdown.
However, it's crucial to remember that God wants us to cast all our cares on Him, as told in First Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." This includes your feelings of sadness and isolation. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God to cast our cares upon him.
It's also important to address the feeling of being unable to communicate with your mom. In Proverbs 18:24, the WEB says: "There are friends who bring ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." As you are providing care for your mother 24/7, you need to take the time to communicate with her in a godly manner. Allow the love of Jesus to flow through your life into hers.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is caring for their mother. We pray that You would strengthen them in their time of need. We are told in the Bible that when one believer is suffering, it is as if we are all suffering with them. Lord, we pray for an extra measure of your peace for this situation. We pray that our friend would do everything in their power to communicate with their mother and find a way to interact in a way that brings glory to You.
Lord, we also pray for the mother, that You would draw her closer to You during this time. We pray that You would open up a way for our friend to communicate with their mother, allowing the love and comfort of Jesus to flow through their life into hers.
If this believer has not already done so, we pray that they would call upon the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved.
Please make Your presence known in their home, filling it with Your peace and love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, there is great importance in asking for everything in Jesus name. In John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" In Acts 4:12 it also is said that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. If you have not asked for things in Jesus' name, consider doing so. If you have not been saved, please consider the importance of this.
