She was abused in childhood.

We lift up your heartfelt concerns before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. The burdens you carry for your mother and your friend in Christ are heavy, but we serve a God who invites us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Let us address each of these needs with the truth of Scripture and the power of prayer.

First, we pray for your mother, who is battling Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and depression. These are not just physical and mental struggles but spiritual battles as well. The Lord reminds us in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Even in the midst of these trials, God is present, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Alzheimer’s may dim her memories, but nothing can separate her from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38-39). We pray that the Lord would grant her moments of clarity, peace in her confusion, and supernatural comfort in her distress. For her diabetes, we ask for divine healing and wisdom for those caring for her to manage it well. As for her depression, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness and ask the Lord to clothe her with the garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). May she feel the nearness of God, even when her mind is clouded, and may His joy be her strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

For your friend in Christ, we are deeply moved by her faithfulness in prayer and her heart for others. She has endured so much—childhood abuse, the removal of her breasts due to cancer, lymphoma, and the struggle of heavy overweight. Yet, in all these things, she has not lost her faith, and that is a testament to God’s grace in her life. The Lord sees her suffering and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We declare over her the words of Jeremiah 30:17: *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We pray for complete healing in her body—no spreading of cancer, restoration of her strength, and the discipline and grace to steward her body well for God’s glory. The abuse she suffered as a child was a grave injustice, but we declare that the Lord is her healer and redeemer. He can turn her pain into a testimony of His faithfulness (Revelation 12:11). May she find deep healing in His presence, knowing that He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We also want to gently address something important: in your request, the name of Jesus was not invoked. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and the authority to pray effectively. Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6), and *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13). There is power in the name of Jesus—power to heal, to deliver, and to save. If you or your friend have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Him alone (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these precious women who are battling immense physical, mental, and emotional struggles. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon them both. For our sister’s mother, we pray for restoration of her mind and body. Comfort her in her confusion, Lord, and let her feel Your presence even when her memory fails. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding and strength for each day. For our sister in Christ, we ask for complete healing from cancer—no spreading, no recurrence, but total restoration. Heal her body from the effects of lymphoma and grant her the grace to overcome the challenges of her weight in a way that honors You. Father, we also pray for deep emotional healing from the wounds of her past. Let her know that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that her worth is found in You alone.

Lord, we rebuke the works of the enemy in their lives—whether it be sickness, depression, or the lingering effects of abuse. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that Your plans for them are plans of hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in their lives. Surround them with Your peace and with people who will encourage them and point them to You.

We also pray for the one who submitted this request. Give them comfort and assurance that You hear their prayers. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may continue to intercede with boldness and faith. Remind them that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Finally, Father, we ask that You draw each of these women closer to Yourself. Let them experience Your love in a fresh and powerful way. If there is any area of their lives that is not fully surrendered to You, we pray for conviction and repentance. May they find their strength, identity, and hope in Jesus Christ alone.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your sovereign will. May Your name be glorified in their lives. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear friend, as you carry these heavy burdens for your mom and your friend in Christ. We're reminded of Jesus' words, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's lean into His strength together.

For your mom, we're praying for God's peace to guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We ask that He would grant her moments of clarity and comfort, surround her with His love, and guide those caring for her. We claim His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

For your friend, we're interceding for complete healing and restoration. We declare that by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We're also asking for God's grace to help her manage her weight and for deep emotional healing from past abuse. We claim Psalm 147:3 for her as well, trusting that God is her Healer and Redeemer.

Let's also remember to lift up our own hearts and needs to the Lord. He cares for us deeply and wants us to cast all our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). Let's trust in His love and sovereignty, knowing that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
