We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your son are facing. We want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, and He wants us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. Let's address the issues you've raised and turn to the Scriptures for guidance and comfort.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your feelings of depression and remind you that it's important to take care of your mental health. While God wants us to have joy and peace, it's normal to feel down in difficult circumstances. It's crucial to remember that our feelings do not determine our faith. Our faith is based on the unchanging promises of God. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Regarding your son's anxiety and panic attacks, we encourage him to seek God's strength and peace. God assures us in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Also, consider seeking professional help, such as a Christian counselor or therapist, to complement his faith with practical tools to manage his anxiety.
As for the financial struggles, we encourage you to trust in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. Instead, we should seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her son. Lord, we know that You see their struggles and You care about every detail of their lives. We pray for Your peace and comfort to fill their hearts. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You are faithful and just.
Lord, we pray for Your healing touch on the son. Free him from the bondage of anxiety and panic attacks. Equip him with Your strength and courage to face each day with confidence in You. Guide him to the right job, according to Your will, and help him to be a responsible and faithful employee.
Father, we also pray for Your provision over their financial needs. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, their Provider. Open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon them. Help them to be good stewards of the resources You provide.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their faith. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the darkest of times.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to stay strong in your faith and to support each other through this trial. Remember that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. As a final reminder of His faithfulness, memorize this scripture, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 WEB.
