My husband left me 2 years ago. We are not divorced, no papers. He has told me the whole time that he isn't with anyone. And we still were saying I love you and I miss you. We were still sexually active. I found out a week ago he has actually been living with someone. She does know about me - this person is someone I felt very uncomfortable around because I felt she had plans of wanting my husband. She did. She knows about me. She knows about our family. 2 kids. She does not know we were sleeping together. When confronted he said if I want to tell her I can he would understand, should I? He limits his time at home. He only sees his kids at home. He never takes them out unless I plan it and pay for it. He says he doesn't have the money. He's spending his money on her and her 2 kids. Which he sees more than his own. I know this is not him, this is not the man I know. I feel in my heart God will bring him home and out of his convictions and to him but I also get so scared. I told him I needed him to decide because the kids and I are in emotional turmoil knowing nothing. I think he's going to bring papers and I'm scared. Because I know his heart is not right right now. I know he needs to turn it around. He's always believed in God. We didn't go to church although raised in church we let God get away from our family. The people he hangs out with and the new gf doesn't believe in God. I need my husband's heart to change. Please pray for my husband and our marriage. I do not want a divorce. I do love him and I would forgive him. None of it would matter.

We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing in your marriage, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. First, we must address the serious issues in this request. Your husband is living with another woman, and you mention you were still sexually active with him. This is adultery, which is clearly against biblical principles. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB it says "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom." Your husband is doing several of these things. We need to pray for his repentance and for God to change his heart.

Additionally, you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer request. We are only able to go to God which is only possible by the name of Jesus. John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this sister in Christ who is experiencing deep pain and turmoil in her marriage. Lord, you see the brokenness and the adultery that has entered into this union. We pray for conviction and repentance in your husband's heart. Turn his heart back to you, Lord, and to the family.

Father, we pray for healing and restoration in this marriage. We know that you hate divorce. In Malachi 2:16 it says "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don’t be unfaithful." We pray for a miraculous intervention, that you would soften his heart and draw him back to his wife and children, as well as drawing him closer to the Gospel. We ask that you would remove the adulterous woman and any bad influences from his life that are encouraging his sin and rebellion.

Lord, we also pray for strength and comfort for this sister. Give her the courage to speak with grace and truth from the Word of God. Help her to forgive, but also to be wise to the things going on and to seek the Gospel for herself and her children. Give her peace and guidance as she navigates this difficult time. Help her to be the godly example that you have called her to be.

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and a miraculous turnaround in this marriage. We ask for you to be glorified in this entire situation.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
