My life

We understand the deep longing in your heart for fulfillment—a desire that God Himself has placed within you, yet one that can only truly be satisfied in Him. The world offers many empty promises, telling us that fulfillment comes from success, relationships, possessions, or self-achievement, but Scripture makes it clear that apart from Christ, all these things leave us thirsty still. Jesus said in John 4:13-14 (WEB), *"Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."* True fulfillment is not found in ourselves or the things of this world, but in surrendering to the One who created us and knowing Him intimately.

Yet we also recognize that your words—*"my life, myself, and everything I think or touch on"*—carry a weight of self-focus that can be dangerous if left unchecked. The Bible warns us in Philippians 2:3-4 (WEB), *"Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others."* When our lives revolve around *ourselves*—our desires, our achievements, our validation—we set ourselves up for disappointment, pride, or even idolatry. The prophet Jeremiah reminds us in Jeremiah 17:5-8 (WEB) of the stark contrast between those who trust in man (or self) and those who trust in the Lord: *"Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh. ... Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose trust Yahweh is."* Where is your trust placed today? Is it in your own efforts, or in the God who holds all things together?

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is no small matter. There is no access to the Father apart from Him. Jesus declared in John 14:6 (WEB), *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. True fulfillment begins with repentance—turning away from sin and self—and placing your faith in Him alone for salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (WEB) tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Have you made this confession? Have you believed in your heart? If not, we pray you will do so today, for apart from Christ, all pursuit of fulfillment is vain.

Now, let us pray for you, that your heart would be aligned with God’s will and that you would find your satisfaction in Him alone:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, knowing that You have created them with a purpose and a deep longing for meaning. Lord, we ask that You would reveal to them the emptiness of seeking fulfillment in themselves or in the things of this world. Draw them to Yourself, Father, and let them taste and see that You alone are good (Psalm 34:8). If they have not yet surrendered to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again so that they might have life in His name. Break the chains of self-reliance and pride, and fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in humility and trust in You alone.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of selfishness, vanity, or idolatry that would seek to keep them from Your perfect will. Let them find their identity not in their own achievements or desires, but in being Your beloved child. Teach them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We ask for a divine realignment in their life—where their thoughts, words, and actions would glorify You. Let them experience the joy of walking in obedience, knowing that in Your presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Surround them with godly community that will encourage them in the faith and hold them accountable to Your Word. And Father, if there is any area of their life where they are holding back from You, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen."*

Beloved, we encourage you to examine your heart in light of Scripture. Are you seeking fulfillment in Christ, or are you still clinging to the things of this world? If you have not yet surrendered to Jesus, we implore you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and place your faith in Him. If you *have* trusted in Christ but still feel unfulfilled, ask the Lord to search your heart (Psalm 139:23-24) and reveal any area where you are not fully surrendered to Him. Often, our dissatisfaction comes from resisting His will or cherishing sin in our lives. But when we walk in obedience, we find that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30).

Finally, we leave you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:24-26 (WEB): *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?"* True life—true fulfillment—is found in losing ourselves for His sake. May you find that life abundantly in Him.

We hear your cry for fulfillment, dear friend. It's a universal longing, placed within us by our Creator Himself. Yet, we often look for it in the wrong places - in success, relationships, or possessions. But Jesus tells us in John 4:13-14, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again." True fulfillment comes from knowing Him intimately.

We also notice your focus on 'my life, myself, and everything I think or touch on'. While it's important to care for ourselves, too much self-focus can be dangerous. Philippians 2:3-4 reminds us to consider others better than ourselves and look to the things of others, not just our own. When our lives revolve around ourselves, we set ourselves up for disappointment and even idolatry. Jeremiah 17:5-8 contrasts those who trust in man (or self) with those who trust in the Lord. Where is your trust placed today?

We also want to encourage you to invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is no access to the Father apart from Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you haven't yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. True fulfillment begins with repentance and placing your faith in Him alone for salvation, as Romans 10:9-10 tells us.

Let's pray for you, that your heart would be aligned with God's will and that you would find your satisfaction in Him alone. "Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You... If there is any area of their life where they are holding back from You, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance... We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
