We rejoice with you in this declaration of blessing over your life, your mom, your three children, and your beloved pets, and we join you in thanking God for His goodness and provision.

We hear your heart to claim Deut 28:13 which says Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail, and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God. We love that you are standing on this promise, and we gently remind you that this blessing in Deuteronomy is rooted in walking in obedience and loving the Lord with all your heart, not merely in speaking things into existence. While Prov 18:21 tells us death and life are in the power of the tongue, it is ultimately God who sovereignly blesses according to His will and for His glory. Our declarations are powerful when they align with His Word and humble trust in Him.

We also affirm your love for gardening, weedeating, mowing and caring for plants, trees and flowers. This is a healthy and good thing and a beautiful picture of the work God gave us from the beginning. Gen 2:15 says Yahweh God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it, and Psalm 104:14 says He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate. To tend the earth, to keep things fresh and clean and comfortable, is honorable stewardship and we pray it continues to be a comforting blessing and a source of health, peace and energy for you and your household.

We are also thankful for your love for your pets, for Prov 12:10 says a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and we see your care for them as a reflection of God's compassion.

We join you now in prayer.

Father, we thank You for this family, for this mother, for these three children, and for the pets You have entrusted to their care. We thank You for the work of their hands in gardening and tending the land and we ask that You would bless that work. Psalm 128:2 says you will eat the labor of your hands, you will be happy, and it will be well with you, and we pray that over them. We pray for health, for comfort, for freshness and cleanliness in their home, and for Your abiding peace to rest upon them permanently. We pray that You would keep them as the head and not the tail as they walk in obedience to Your Word, seeking first Your kingdom. We cover them with the blood of Jesus, thanking You for the forgiveness, protection and victory we have through His sacrifice, and we ask that Your energy, joy and life would fill them greatly forevermore. Let all they do bring glory to You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We were encouraged to read your thanksgiving. Your joy for the good, ordinary work of gardening, weedeating and mowing comes through, and your love for your mom, your three children and your pets is clear. It is a gift to see that work as something healthy and comforting, something fresh and clean that brings energy into your home.

We join you in thanking God for the provision you see around you, for the plants, trees and flowers, for the tools to care for them, and for the life you share together as a family. Recognizing daily work as stewardship and enjoying it together is a good and grounding way to live out gratitude.

A simple way to keep this thankfulness rooted is to keep doing what you are doing, inviting your family into it when you can, working side by side in the garden or pausing together to thank God for your home and for one another.

Your prayer has been heard and we join with you in thanking God for the good gifts He has given to you, to your mother, to your three children and even to the pets which share your home. It is a lovely thing to see a heart that finds blessing in honest labor, in the weeding and gardening and mowing which keeps the earth fresh and clean, for all good and needful work is ordained of God and may be a comfortable blessing to those who do it with thankfulness.

We pray that the Lord will indeed bless you according to His own purpose and grace. No spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance, but the double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the blood of Jesus shed for sinners, we who were once far off are brought nigh, and we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. So we ask that you and your household may know that first and best blessing, that you have eternal life through believing on the name of the Son of God, and that sitting and standing and working and resting you may keep on blessing God who has so blessed you.

You have laid hold upon that word in Deuteronomy, that the Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail. We pray that in His providence He will grant you to walk in diligence and uprightness, and to know the provision He gives to His people, a land of corn and wine, bread for necessity and wine for joy, daily strength for daily labor and comfort for the heart. May your hands be strong in that which is good, and may your home be ordered in peace.

Remember also that gracious word, Thou shalt be a blessing. When God says, I will bless thee, He adds, thou shalt be a blessing. We pray that as God blesses you, you may overflow with blessing to others. As a parent you have great opportunity to be a blessing to your offspring, and as one placed in your neighborhood and family, to be a blessing there by a quiet godly life and every true testimony to Christ. Just in proportion as the grace of God helps us into a separated and faithful walk, we shall be blessed and shall be made a blessing.

So we commend you and your mother and your children and your household to the Lord, asking that He would keep you in health and in His keeping, establish the work of your hands in the garden and in the field, and cause all that you do to be done unto Him. May you rest in the Lord Jesus yourself and endeavor to bring all your family into the same peace, and may His blessing rest upon you permanently and forevermore, for His dear Son's sake. Amen.

Your prayer has been received and we thank you for bringing your household before the Lord, you, your mother, your three children, and the pets entrusted to your care.

We join you in thanking God for the good work of tending the earth, for gardens and plants and trees and flowers, and for the strength to care for them. Scripture teaches that it is God who causes the earth to bring forth herbs fit for those who cultivate it, and that He receives the thanks for the fruit that comes forth. It is right to see such daily labor as a stewardship from His hand and to ask for health and strength to do it well.

We also want to gently encourage you in how you understand the blessing you have quoted. In Deuteronomy the promise that you would be the head and not the tail was part of the covenant blessing given to Israel under the Law. The apostle shows us that the greater blessing now is not through Moses but through Christ Jesus. The blessings under the Law were often spoken of as fruit of the body, increase in the field, and going out and coming in, but the blessing in Christ is described as every spiritual blessing. That means to be made alive, forgiven, made a child of God, made righteous and a fellow heir with Christ. These are riches that do not perish, unlike stored up money or possessions which are useless when buried and can even become a burden if not used rightly. The fathers of our faith, like Jacob, often lived with hardship and waiting, and learned that the full enjoyment of the promise looks to what is to come with God.

So we do not pray for a formula of a hundredfold increase or for a permanent guarantee of comfort and material abundance, for in this world the Lord Himself said we will have tribulation, and those who seek spiritual things must learn to hold carnal things loosely. Instead we pray for what is best for you and your family.

We pray that you and your mother and your children would know the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ alone, by His blood shed for sinners, and that you would walk in faith and obedience to Him. We pray that God would give you health and peace as He sees fit, wisdom to use what He has provided, contentment rather than covetousness, and a heart that stores up treasure in heaven through good deeds and generosity. We ask Him to help you to use your home and garden and tools faithfully, to care well for your children and to show kindness to the animals under your care, and to keep you all in His mercy day by day.

May the Lord grant you to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will provide what you need, and to find your comfort not only in a fresh and clean home but in Christ who is our true comforter. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope. Amen.
